Saw the original post requesting more realistic horse fatigue. Note that http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10925 affects all actors including your horse... if you ride your horse too hard, particularly uphill, it will start to whinny and eventually stumble. Unfortunately horses by default have a very low 50 fatigue (they are pretty easy to subdue using hand to hand), so they get fatigued a bit too quickly when going uphill, but this is offset by their high endurance so they recover pretty fast, and also the rider does not count as encumbrance.

I've never had trouble with RF's horse-fatigueyness. It's been noticable, riding full speed up a hill, but it seems to work -perfectly- with Mounted Combat's system, so I can just slow down a little :D

Along the same lines, MMM's Extra Wounding affects player horses too. If your horse is injured in battle, it will stumble and fall down (with you on it) more or less frequently, depending on the severity of its injuries. You have to either heal it, or let it rest to recover on its own.

what Oblivion needs is a horse racing mod where you could purchase a horse, train it and compete in races or just bet on the races to make some extra money.

I thought I would ask the experts on horses. I have installed FCOM, Im playing as a winged daedra seducer (RBP character) and need to travel by horse. I too like to see good looking horses. I have the DLC horse armor installed. If Im reading FCOM wiki correctly I should use Slofs base with Ulrims. Is that it?

Ulrim's mod attempts to make Slof's horses not stutter when with armor and adds armor to I mperial Legion Horses.
For Ulrim's horses to work, you need installed DLC Horse Armor and Slof Horses 2.0.

A few are merged together.

In game I recently came up upon a wild horse that was trying to run but stuck. I got close and the cursor said I could mount and that it would not be stealing - and so I did. The horse seems to be mine now - is that right? I thought you could only own the horses you buy?


[edit] NO wait on further inspection of this horses behavior it seems ready to run like mad from me after dismounting, It is just now tied to me (uh I mean my character) by the Horse Sanity feedbucket - so I can always recall it. Haven't tried saddling it yet - But I'm guessing that wouldn't endear the horse to me anytime soon.

Slof Extra Horse's has free horse your can ride and take anywhere you want..

And if you use MentalElf's Horse Sanity, the horses will stay close by once you've ridden them ... or if they do run off, they can instantly be recalled. My newest character used Houdini (just like his name implies) for quite some time before he got enough moolah together to buy his own. :bigsmile:

Just letting you know guys, you can take C.H.E off your list, the mod is a gonner :(

Mr_Siika will be releasing the armor though, if you check the C.H.E thread I mentioned someon with interest could take over the mod. But anyway, the Sentient Steed idea will problably feature in my Pet Shop mod, so do't worry about that one :D

I'm having a problem with Horse Armor Revamped 1.8. Like many others I am having a CTD when trying to buy armor for my own horse.

I am using:
1. Slofs horses Base 2.0
2. Name that horse (might remove this - seems redundant)
3. Horses speed equals players speed
4. MELFs horse sanity
5. HRMhorse commands
5. MD saddlebags 3.0 RC1
6. HRMhorse armor
7. HRMhorse armor Slofs horses patch

So far I've just tried different load ordering.

Also I must activate the mod manually with the "setstage" console command.

Any ideas :)

Good news for the riders of Cyrodiil!

The famous MMM team released http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=17784 which is only an esp files but enables all 312 horses created by AlienSlof so far. You can use this single esp file if you use http://files.filefront.com/MMM7z/;13891504;/fileinfo.html

Those 312 are wild horses that cannot be ridden, just eye candy, but the stallion will defend themselves or attack you on site.

There are rideable one , either the one you buy, or you will encounter them out in wilderness very rare..See MMMSlofHorse Readme..
