Well there's kind of a toxic cloud blocking the sun. But it's not THAT dark, are you using an old CRT monitor by any chance?

Use Cateye. Well, I think you can only get Ghost Vision in SM.

I kind of like the dark feel to it. Gives it a scarier feel and for some reason i seem to move slower when things are scarier thus expanding my play time, wich is always cool.

Cateye = blue night vision
Ghost sight = green night vision
does it matter?
Green I guess, feels like actual night vision.

On topic: The Cloud is blocking sun and the DLC was supposed to have horror feel to it so it needed to be a dim place.
Solution: Pip-boy light, Ghost sight, and screen brightness

Didn't have a problem with it myself. Long nights of playing Thief and Splinter Cell.

Some select places could have stood being a little brighter, but the darkness really helped with immersion so I didn't mind it that much except for the occasional location where it made telling Cloud Residue apart from stains on the ground a bit difficult.

I will agree that some locations were a bit too dark, but I got by with the Pip-Boy light and slow, careful exploration.
