Level 252 All Rounder Character - Best Ratio?

Post » Sun Dec 15, 2013 7:37 pm

I'm creating my first ever hugely overpowered character since the patch, aiming for level 252 so that I can get all the perks...please don't judge me

I'm wondering what do you all think is the best ratio at this level for a character that can essentially do a bit of everything? I would like to be able to play at this level without any enchanting/smithing improvement on my gear to at least keep it a little bit of a challenge. I will only be using standing stones (the lord stone most likely to help against those damn master necromancers) and abilities such as agent of mara etc mainly to protect against overpowered mages at this level. I would also like to be able to cast all spells possible, again without any enchantments, just perks.

252 levels means 2510 points to distribute. I was thinking maybe:-

1000 magicka - 1000 health - 810 stamina

but then I'm also thinking will that much stamina EVER be needed and I really can't see any more than 500 being required so perhaps this would be better:-

1150 magicka - 1160 health - 500 stamina

OR would health be the most important by far and would this be best:-

1000 magicka - 1310 health - 500 stamina

What do you guys think?

That it does not really matter how you distribute your Attribute points on a character like that.

I think it is interesting, also gameplay wise. When you take all the perks magicka will recharge fast and spells will be cheaper to cast. 500 Magicka should be the maximum. You could even not use spells at all and go for 100 Magicka. Stamina is useful to get more carry weight and run from fights or hit harder in fights with power attack or power block. It might be fun to do a lot of power attacks in a row.

I think it would be the most fun to have a very large health pool yourself, so that besides your overpowered attacks, you can also just stand still for seconds/minutes and still have 50% HP left. With a large number of strong enemies around, you could still just walk around and do crazy stuff for a while.

100 - 2500 - 210

or

310 - 1500 - 1000

This basically. Perhaps a little more magicka.

The most expensive spell is Firestorm costing almost 1500 magicka. With 100 Destruction and the perks it will cost less than half that (not sure how much exactly but if I've understood the formula on UESP correctly it will be 517).

One question, do you really need so much health? you will be armor capped and have enchants with decent elemental protection.

With over 1000 health it would take an legendary dragon 6 hits to kill you on legendary. You drink an potion of ultimate healing and wait more.

Keep the health low to keep it interesting is my advice, for an ranged or stealth character I would not go over 200 health.

Not sure where I would cap it for melee, not played them on legendary.

You said you wanted him overpowered right?

1150 magicka - 1160 health - 500 stamina

This guy isn't meant to be interesting because of the challenge. He's meant to be disgustingly powerful.

I would say 500 stamina is plenty and then keep health a little under 1000 and put the most in magicka. It's always fun to be able to cast a ton of spells.

Pretty much this, although I'd be willing to bet that OP will be bored to tears with this character long before he gets to that stage of the game. Hell, I usually get bored to tears with my characters by the time I reach level 50, much less 250.

I think it's a complete waste of time. All you will end up with is a mega powerful "jack of all trades" character. Any character becomes seriously over powered by level 80 anyway, proceeding further with this character after that will achieve nothing other than wasting about 300 hours of your life in all honesty.

You've convinced me :D

I'm also considering archery though. You see my character is primarily a spellsword specialising in lightning based spells and one handed swords but his secondary weapon will be a bow which obviously will require a lot of stamina for zooming in etc

My reasoning for being overpowered is that there are mages and forsworn that are majorly overpowered even when you get to level 30 so it's basically me fighting fire with fire. I've just had a fight with a "Master Necromancer" 5 minutes ago and even with 1000 health he very nearly killed me on his own  If the game can do it I should be able to too. On my current playthrough I've only been playing during my spare time after work and on weekends for about 2 - 3 weeks and I'm at level 201 now so it doesn't take that long :twirl:

Plus if you put a lot of time into getting past level 81 then you deserve to be uber in my opinion :D

:D

Well, 500 stamina should be enough to zoom in for a long time. If you want more maybe you could put to health to 1000?

I think you'll be doing alot of leveling tricks if you don't want to get bored leveling up.

You probably still would. Honestly.

But oh well, good luck anyhow.

I'm thinking now maybe going for:-

950 magicka - 1230 health - 630 stamina

That would mean that all spells would be able to be cast even without perks coming into play as the most expensive spell is Mass Paralysis at 937, I would have enough health to survive a fair amount of mage attacks even without abilities and perks to defend against magic and I would have enough stamina to snipe for a fair amount of time.

I know you guys want me to keep it interesting by limiting certain areas etc but I want to keep it interesting by being able to become an archer or a warrior or a mage at any given time.

I'm almost there now actually, level 216.

I've been using the telekinesis and fast travel trick whilst lengerdary-ing Alteration. Takes a while but it seems the fastest way to me.

My little Breton stealth archer is currently level 639. There are MODS to increase the strength and numbers of enemies as well as some that create multiple bosses with different skills in a single fight.

I'm having a great time and don't plan on starting another character soon. This is my third one and so far my favorite, so play how you want. BTW I use most in health, I'd make stamina second especially if you use MODS to increase bad guys as the fights will go on longer.

Happy gaming...

If you want an overpowered character (I have one also) just to mess around with then just use the restoration loop and make him invincible with unlimited mana.

I actually play this character the most as Its fun to just explore and try out stuff without worrying about anything.
