Level cap in Skyrim

They took out this system in exchange for the Fallout EXP traditional RPG system

Stop spreading lies. It was pretty much confirmed in the GI article that leveling (despite being classless and major skill less) is still the same standard affair as all Elder Scrolls games. That is, you level up some skills a certain number of times (usually 10), and then you level up after resting. Rinse and repeat.

Oblivion's was 255, so I imagine Skyrim's will only go higher than that.

Doubt it, 255 is a hex code limitation.

Well, then those MANY people either don't know anything, or they're trolling you like no other.

Word of advice, if you got your info from a board that is identified by a letter, don't trust them one bit. Sure they may have their funny fads and like to help a bro out sometimes, but they really love to spread misinformation.

Seeing as every skill you level contributes to you leveling up in Skyrim, I really hope players who decide to level up every skill won't be able to also pick every perk.

Without console commands, something like that would take somewhere in between "forever" and "eternity".

I picked yes, but it doesn't matter a whole lot to me. If someone wants to put that much time into maxing out their character, well, it's a single player game, it's not like it's a multiplayer game where they're gaining an advantage for not having seen sunlight in a month.

I think it was just one person making up some BS info and others see it as a good idea and also I would think that they would adopt the new Fallout EXP leveling too

*sigh*
"Level 50 isn’t the limit; when you reach level 50, you’ll gain experience much slower, making leveling a much more difficult process."

I'm not even level 50 n oblivion. Most stats are near 100 by now. There is really no reason to get to level 50 for me.

Not comparable. Level 50 in Skyrim won't be a nearly maxed out character like it would be in Oblivion.

For one reason is that every skill up contributes to your level, not just your class skills.

I wouldn't want a level cap in the first place but they stated that it would be further than level 50 and when that happens leveling is much much slower to do.
