Level 50 Confirmed

Post » Mon May 24, 2010 10:27 am

Since that they raised the level cap again, and then created an option to return the level cap to its normality

Can I have more Legion Quest please?
Can I have Marcus as a Companion please?
Can i have Tommy Gun please?
Can I nuke the Strip please?

1. Legion is in a desperate need for more quests.
2. Having him as a companion again would be interesting
3.No. Sawyer already went into detail on that.
4. Whyé

Such a horribly horrible idea. 40 is one thing. But 50? Seriously? Wow. That trait is a great idea, but considering Dead Money's already out and it won't come until Old World Blues, why didn't you just put it in as an option way back at Dead Money?

I'm really only sad to see that I wasted time to actually make separate characters for Melee/Unarmed, Guns/EW, and Guns/Explosives, when now I can have all of them! By 50, I'll probably have all my skills maxed, just like Fallout 3. It's pretty sad, actually. During the Fallout 3 days, I enjoyed having a God character. With New Vegas, I learned to appreciate taking the time to plan a certain build, strengthening it, and removing its weaknesses. Looks like that's all gone down the drain.
Well, I'll still play the add-ons anyway. :D

I'd really like to know from all of the people complaining, who is going to force you to buy this DLC?

That is some interesting math, getting to level 50 will take a long, long, long time.

If they want to pull this, we need actually DANGEROUS enemies, not bullet sponges, we need enemies capable of hurting a person without being completely ridiculous.

Or a cap on hit points based on level. Imagine for a moment if you stoppped gaining more hit points at level 20 or level 10. If at one point levels stopped giving you more hit points it make creating challenge much easier.

Oh my goodness they (Censored) Fallout over again. :brokencomputer: :brokencomputer: :brokencomputer: :brokencomputer: :brokencomputer: :brokencomputer: :brokencomputer: :brokencomputer: :brokencomputer:

I thought the devs would've seen the mistake that BGS made with Fallout 3 but I guess money talks. What a bunch of crap now everybody will be able to get to 100 in skills. Thanks a lot devs, I'm hoping that you'll come out with tough new enemies and new perks in response to raising the level cap. This is just plain stupid I can't believe they did this I guess I'll be able to get Black Widow early on and not need to worry about getting the Educated perk.

Yup. This just pretty much opened up 2 early perk slots for all of us.

I guess you're all choosing to ignore that trait that allows you to cap your level at 30?

Thats worse than being forced imo we have to cut ourselfs out of content if we actually give a fudge about game balance gaaaggghh.

I like how you think it is okay for us to have to cut ourselves from content just so we can have game balance.

This makes what Beth did to Fallout 3 look like a joke. At least in FO3 you had bullet sponges but with Set Leveling I don't have much hope in Obsidian getting the game balance right. Even if they release Super Deathclaw or Super Mutant Doomlord or Feral Ghoul whatever, with New Vegas's set leveling enemies they'll be either too powerful at low levels or incredibly easy to kill at high levels. Not to mention that we will probably get new perks. I vote for a Gifted Perk or Almost Perfect Perk since the systems already getting (Censored).

5 more levels would've been acceptable but no we need to have God characters who could snap their finger and kill a Deathclaw with it. The DLC's will still be good but the game balance is now a complete joke. Unless they come out with a patch that reduces the amount of Skill points that you get I don't see any hope, even with a patch I still don't see hope. With an INT of 6 that's 13 points per level you would get 650 skill points and that doesn't include points that you tag, the tag perk, The Educated Perk, or the 156 extra Skill points off of Skill Books (208 with Comprehension), even worse they'll probably release new skill Books making that number even higher. Words can not describe how disgusted I am at the Devs or at Softworks. I support both companies but this is a complete joke. Fallout 4 better be overhauled from what FO3/NV did with the leveling because we can't have this happen again.

Just give more of them top tier weapons. The weapons to challenge a high level character exist in the game, but hardly anyone uses them.
If you took a dozen guys with Brushguns they'd do some serious damage to a courier who stops gaining hit points at after level 20.

LOL Just hope for Some 1000hp enemies they are always fun.

Its an rpg nothinb wrong with shooting something 45 times in an rpg.

They were always long epic battles in older rpgs.

They would just have to put the super hit point stuff where all the hard stuff is now.

Do like Sunny Smiles and Cass say and stay on the roads.

The game is still broke by 35 anyway might as well throw Centurions in the wastes, Give NCR heavies some more hp. Make up some crazy new nightkin that has like 800hp and 18dt.

Don t forget legendary reavers lol

It's still playable to a degree at level 35 but we have no hope with 50 even if they release new enemies.

I'll reserve judgment until I see how there going to deal with this but I am slightly worried about them just hitting us with bullet sponges.

I would think they would. Even with the choice to not level I don t think I can stop myself. They ll have a 800hp 18dt nightkin psycholord and the feral legendary trooper ghoul reaver that still remembers how to fire his service rifle from muscle memory, and he throws radiation bombs. ahhhhhhhhhhhh

Then you ll really need that prototype telsa beaton canon lol

The idea of giving enemies better weapons is a flawed one.
Sure the economy is screwed already but do we need to pour gasoline on the fire?
Giving them better weapons will screw up the already screwed up economy far more.
Instead of that, give them their own perks and other effects to counter the demi-god.
