Level 10 - Have I seen all there is to see?

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 9:07 am

I'm level 10 and I'm afraid I've seen all the enemy types (besides one that I know exists) and feel like there aren't that many different weapon/armor models. I checked a few guides and they seem to support this.

Is this possible? Could I have seen pretty much everything at such a low level? As soon as I know there is no more discovery (besides story, location, etc) I lose interest pretty quick. Seems like a low number of enemy types and armor/weapons...

Or am I just overreacting? I know you can mod weapons and armor, but this doesn't really seem to change the model a whole lot. And enemy wise I feel like there could/should be so many more!

Love the game btw.

Dunno how that would be possible. I've made it to 13 and I've seen probably <50% of the baddies and explored maybe 15% of the map.

Thanks for the reply. I really hope you're right! How do you know you've only seen 50%? Do you have a full list of baddies, weapons, etc.?

New stuff as in new enemy types/models? New weapon type/models? I don't mean just different attributes, but new types of shotguns, pistols, etc.

Thanks for the answer.

I doubt it. I've hit 20 and new enemy types started popping (at least new variants of the enemy factions have)

I would imagine I was wrong, but lists I've seen make me worried. Based on those there is just one type of creature I haven't seen.

Dude come back when you are level 50. Seriously, you only got to level 10 and you are asking this?

Um... what have you seen?

Not knowing whether or not people would feel this list is spoilery...

Spoiler

Humans, ghouls, super mutants, Brahmin, radstags, stingwings, blood bugs, bloatflies, radscorpions, molerats, mirelurks, mirelurk spawn, and deathclaws. Oh, and synths. And all the variants thereof of all those things.

I might be confused about the fliers. I think there are two different "stinger type" (scorpion and mosquito) fliers and then the bloatflies.

It's not a lot different than the preceding games. Why were you expecting more creature models?

Yes. Ran into two mirelurk hunters today (one legendary) and I'd yet to see them. I'm still getting unique weapon types from different quests and such. Weapons I haven't seen on regular enemies

Yyeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. You have a ways to go buddy.

Level 19.5, a GOOD CHUNK explored. Keyword on chunk. I didn't go into every building, because I as lugging around junk. I'm still getting surprised by the badasses of the wastes. I'm not even ankle deep in the main quest.

No... level 10 is where it begins my friend. Start collecting fuel cells, start lugging around your power armor. Things are about to get real.

Also, start poking for enemy weaknesses. You want to put them down as fast as you can.

It seems like unique weapons aren't only modified/buffed versions of something you can already get in regualar play. Unless I've missed finding

Spoiler
kelloggs pistol and the silenced ww2 looking pistol
on raiders/gunners

They plan to add DLC through at least the end of 2016 and possibly even into 2017. Big plans for DLC in this game with a longer DLC plan than in the past. Anyone saying this game is shallow and lacking in content doesn't know what they're talking about. It's already full of massive variety without the imminent DLC anyway.

Was afraid this was spoiler territory.... But yes I've seen all of those creatures. Without giving away anything of course, are there many more new models of creatures out there? New creatures are my favorite things to discover. It's the hunter in me!

And to those saying I'm crazy for even asking this, I agree. I just got worried after seeing the supposed FULL list of creatures.

Thanks again to everyone for answering.

I mean, if it's solely enemy types you expect to carry you through hundreds of hours, you'll be disappointed. There's a reason people put 1000's of hours into bethesda games. At level 10, if you have indeed "seen it all" you haven't really done much in terms of quests. I've gotten unique weapon types I haven't seen on anyone else, by doing quests. Also, put the guide down. Go explore for yourself. If you're just hunting for the content from a guide you really won't get a good interpretation of how it all meshes together

Enemy types to carry me through hundreds of hours? No, but more than 10. Maybe I should've asked a different way:

Does anyone know how many unique creature models there are in the game? Or have a link to a complete list? I'm not looking to spoil them for myself, just want to know that there is much more to encounter. Hey we all have our different things we enjoy in these games right? I'd be shocked if all the creatures were featured within 10 hours, but again the lists I saw didn't say otherwise.

Still I'm having a blast with this game.

I highly doubt you have been haunted by a glowing deathclaw. Mirelurk queens can be a nice suprise aswell. And of course there also the behemoths.

So at lvl 10 there should enough space left for new stuff. With lvl 10 i havent seen everything. And even now im still not finished exploring.

In Fallout 3 after about 50 playthroughs I was still finding new stuff, I played it again last month and found a location I had never seen. I expect Fallout 4 to be just the same, loads of stuff out there, I am level 17 and haven't really ventured too far yet

This - even tho' I haven't done as many playthroughs as Neil. Every time I play FO3 & FNV I ALWAYS find something/somewhere new.

Hopefuly FO4 will be the same. Don't see why not.
