I reached level 41 inside of the research facility/high school and after the sound of leveling up, nothing! I walking around waiting for my skill boost screen to kick in...nothing. I kill another enemy...not gaining any more XP. Don't tell me I wasted several hours of gameplay and I'm screwed. BETHESDA HELP!! This svcks!

The exact same thing happened to me. I reloaded a save and it did it again. Both times I was in the midst of opening my pimp-boy. The third time when I heard the sound I stayed still. After about 30 seconds it kicked in and I did not have a problem after that.
