Oh no, a completely obscure and nonsensical way to beat the system. Run!

Certainly this needs a patch because it's not working as intended, but I don't think it's going to get in anyone's way of playing the game. You have to go way out of your way to even use this, much less figure it out. So it shouldn't stop you from playing normally... at all.

Someone else finding a glitch that lets them ruin a game has no effect on my playing of that same game. :shrug:



(Glitch-wise, I've only had like three CTD's - much better than Oblivion & FO3; a couple badly pathing enemies, and the minor UI glitch where your mouse pointer is actually pointing to the save above the one you have highlighted. Nothing really notable. Game runs great.)

I've only crashed once, but that was due to GPU abuse.

I truly, truly believe if you look at the game this way, you shouldn't play it. Not intended to offend you, I just know from experience that you should not approach TES this way. TES is a movie in which you star, and the ending is not set yet. You basically write the whole script and decide how it ends, and stats play absolutely no role in that. Stats do have a role: to define your character and playstyle, and have a sense of progression.

If you can beat the system, you still choose yourself to use it. You can cheat easily on PC, but why would you? After all, you DO know the game is fake right, it's not real life? Yet you decide to immerse yourself in this created world. How deep you go is up to you, but to enjoy TES you should go a lot deeper than you do now.

So OP was basically expecting a game of this magnitude to have no glitches.. mind you one that you have to go out of your way to do. :facepalm:

If you have to become overly powerful to play the game, you are totally missing the point of what makes this game fun. I'm guessing the one's doing this are no older than 10... then again they could be older and keep diaries about how they dominate yet another game.

Why do people do this and why would you wanna make the game easy? bunch of cheaters!!!!!!

Don't want to ruin the game? Don't use the glitches. It's more fun when you work for it yourself.

It's an exploit. You need to actively exploit it for it to have any effect. Not a fail on the game's part, but a fail on the user's part. Is the existence of console commands also a fail? Or is the user's lack of willpower the real fail?

It doesn't ruin the game. You have the own decision to use this glitch or leave it alone. Nobody's forcing you to ruin the game for yourself. nabcake

I already know that exploiting and cheating in games will quickly make the game boring, but all he's doing is showing you the glitch, it doesn't mean that he cares about it and I imagine he probably only did it to see what it's like and then will revert to a previous save (or start fresh)

P.S. That loading screen on the 360 seemed to last forever, definitely glad the PC version doesn't take that long!

I don't like exploiting the game to make myself stronger, i like to use what's availiable to me to get myself stronger ( AkA: Smithing, alchemy, enchating and cave exploring).

But i hate people that like to say stuff like: "you should not ruim the game doing that, your doing it wrong", sure, it may be annoying for most, but what if people like playing like that? It's a single player game, for [censored]'s sake, no one is running to be the best around here, if this was online, then it would be a problem.

Calling other members troll is considered flaming on these forums, and as such neither permitted nor tolerated.

That just makes the game boring
