Level/Perk Glitch

Post » Tue Nov 10, 2009 12:58 pm

Simple really..do you want them to patch the level/perk glitch? I just recently started to toy around with it and found myself enjoying my beast of a character and I'm hoping they'll leave it in if it isn't harming no one. I understand a lot of people don't want to be OP but it's completely optional so that's a huge plus.

Anyways what's your thoughts on the subject?

PS If this is on the wrong board mods please move wasn't too sure which board I should put it on.

Level up to 30-35 before leaving Goodsprings then leave the area allowing you to double the perks your allowed to get.

Glitch? Sounds like a complete waste of time.

Not intended behavior and thus a bug. Bugs should be fixed. That is all.

Don't knock it until you've tried it.

Fact is, if they *fix* them, it could result in broken quest. And there is way more to do than fixing something kinda broken but work when use correct/incorrectly.

How many hours of play do you have to stay there to get up to level 35? What do you do, wait for the occasional rad scorpion and dog to respawn to gain XP?

I don't think it's a glitch, it's a well deserved reward for whoever is willing to stick it out there that long.

Well there are two ways to "cheat" and get to level 30 in like an hour I'd post a video but I'm not sure what their policy is for posting exploits. If you want to see it just do a quick search on youtube and I'm sure you'll find it.

I like this glitch but it has to go. Although you could just uninstall the patch if your on the 360 or PS3 and just do the glitch and then reinstall the Patch.

I'd rather they fix some real bugs as ooposed to exploits. Bugs impact negatively on playing for everyone who experiences them, glitches have to be consciously taken advantage of.

All bugs need to be fixed, but exploits like this can wait.

If someone wants to ruin the game for themselves (or do something neat like this because they are bored) then let them do it. It doesn't affect anybody else. They need to somehow work modding into the xbox 360 since microsoft doesn't allow it.

Also it would be nice if some of the people who want a fix say if they've even done it before.

OK. I'll 'fess up.

Never done it, don't care if others do. This is a purely single player game, so if people want to use exploits, it means precisely and exactly nothing to me. No impact at all.

I have also never had a big problem with stuff like this, as it is completely optional. I guess if you want to argue to remove or "fix" the glitch i suppose one would also have to argue againsr console commands as well as they alter the game play even though using them is also completely optional. Then the argument could then drift to mods as some add OP gear to the game as they are not developer intentions one could also argue to "fix" the console command. I agree with the to each his own crowd on this. If you want to glitch yourself to 30, if you want to console command items or character upgrades go ahead, it is not like i have to deal with you OPness.

lol, sounds pretty ridiculous having to know of another exploit to make use of this even more obscure exploit, either of which you would likely never come across unless you were looking to exploit !

Never heard of such a glitch. And there is no way in hell I'm gonna stay in Goodsprings until level 30 (35?) either. I'd rather play another game. But a glitch is still a glitch and have to go. Not sure what is more ridiculous, the glitch itself or actually considering exploiting it :P Although, I have to admit, it certainly made me smile :D

Edit: How the hell do you find such glitches anyway? Never leave Goodsprings and maybe a glitch will show up? :D
