Dear gamesas assistant:

My Crysis 2 nickname "Victory111" was on Level 36 on 10th Nov 2011 but when I opened Crysis 2 this morning on 11th Nov 2011 my Level was reset back to 1. Also I am no longer allowed to connect to multiplayer. It says "connection to your session has been lost".
However the stats in gamesas are the same as before.
Please recover my account as soon as possible.

Yup. Had this happen like four months ago. E-mailed support @ EA and Crytek. EA offered me a $10 coupon and essentially blew me off. Hasn't been fixed since. I check periodically because I paid for the game. It's pretty sad the level of customer service I've gotten; makes me think twice before buying anything from EA for sure.

Good luck with your alternate account, and don't bank on a response from either developer.

I just contacted EA support.
I asked for a discount voucher like "fonixmonkey" did. They gave me 20% discount code.
Was told to wait another 24 - 48 hours for my "Victory111" MP to work.

Really, they said they'd fix it? huzzah! I wasn't sure they even could. Your experience with all of this will be very valuable.

I just checked now after 48 hours. My "Victory111" MP account is able to connect to MP servers but all achievements have still not been recovered.
I am still at Level 1.

After what EA promised as 48 hour fix time. "Victory111" MP account is still at Level 1.
Something strange though, all my unlocked weapons & attachments & profiles are still in custom weapons but they are locked. I would be able to access them once I reach Level 5.

Contacted EA again today because it is still at LV1. They said "wait another 48 - 72 hours".

Your Loadouts are still present in your SP profile, which is now out of sync with your level. Yes, you will be able to use them when they unlock. But, if you switch away from a weapon or suit module that your level hasn't earned, you wont be able to switch back. Also, your VISOR ENHANCE III may only perform as VISOR ENHANCE I until it is unlocked and leveled.... Also, assessments and unlocks will sometimes misbehave.

They did fix the connection problem, though!

True CH4NCE. If I switched away from locked but active module I can't switch back. And my "Energy Transfer" is only LV 1, even though I had LV 3 before.
You sound like this has happened to you before.

Just to give an update for the people that followed this issue.
EA promised 72 hours max to fix it . However it has been exactly a week since the problem occurred and I am still at LV1 with everything locked.

sounds like your fooked mate, make a new profile and start over but make sure you back up your saved game profile incase it corrupts again then just delete the old one and replace with backup.i now back up saved games profile after every time i exit crysis2.

To implement its ranking/unlock/assessment system, the game should store all the data relevant to your progress in the cloud, but it doesn't. Some things are saved locally in, of all places, the singleplayer profile files located in C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\Crysis2\profiles. If the cloud and your hard drive get out of sync, the system misbehaves.

Usually the local files get deleted then re-created from scratch, while the player is still "level 50" in the cloud. Perks not rewarded, dogtags not earned, assesment groups not unlocked are the most common and annoying behaviors. You have the opposite case, and are suddenly level 1 in the cloud, according to the game. Even worse, some parts of your cloud data still think you are level 36!

I have no experience with your case, so cant offer any specifics, only the absolute certainty that things will be kind of wonky.

To start over as urban-grilla suggests,

1. Delete your SP profile:
(C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\Crysis2\profiles\default\*.*)

2. Create a new MP character (gamesas.com account) from the in-game menu.

3. Kick ass and enjoy that higher kdr
