Level 40 Rogue save mysteriously gone...

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 1:24 pm

I made a new save , started it up a little bit

Turned system off , came back later... loaded up the game and my Rogue save is now gone from my list of saves.... it just has the auto saves + my Death Knight & level 1 nothing saves

I never saved the level 1 on my own , it makes a not-considered auto-save right before you make a character

But still my Rogue is just gone

Is there like a 5 save limit including the auto saves or something?

telling me you always rely on auto-saves? chances are somebody else was on your game, or you made a new character and it autosaved over your old.

you used to be an adventurer... but then you took an arrow to the knee.

Yeah , I guess my Rogue took an arrow to the knee.....

Guess I'm going to turn auto save off completely if thats how its gonna be....

I screwed up my rogue a bit anyway ..... but still :sadvaultboy:

I googled "Skyrim 5 save limit?" and apparently there is a limit of 5 saves..... other people have had this issue

So I just made a 3rd character on purpose auto saving turned off

Then turned it all back on and got it to autosave 3 times... now I have 3 auto saves and 3 normal saves , rogue still gone

I don't know? Maybe this was some kind of bug where that (not considered auto save) auto save right before you make a character will kill a save if you have 5 slots already taken? IDK

I mean , I was expecting it to cap at 2 autosaves or to delete another character once I had 3 on purpose saves

That 'not considered auto save' that takes place as soon as you get off the cart will always be saved in the same save slot (on the PS3, this save slot is called "Player-1"). There is no cap on saves, AFAIK, it's just that stupid forced auto-save that happens to overwrite where most people would make their first manual save.
