Each DLC adds +5 to the level cap. If you have all of them, the level cap is 50.

does anyone know how much the new ultimate edition is going to cost? just wondering if it is worth waiting rather than downloading DLC? also do you think it will require you to start a new game or can you continue with your earlier saves?

It doesn't. It will remain at 50.

It cost 63 dollars here in Australia. Downloading the DLC's will cost you a lot more. No it will require you to start a new game :)

This sums it up, if you want the DLC just get the Ultimate edition instead; it will save you quite a bit of money.

No it will require you to start a new game

I think you mean to say it will NOT require you to start a new game.

Default is 30

Each DLC imcrements it by +5 (5 x 4=20)

Peak level is 50

(If you buy the DLC that is)

The level 50 cap is really too high - at that stage you're awesome at everything, which destroys any 'character' that your character had.

True, but for people like myself that really doesn't matter.
The fact that there is an extra 20 levels to raise through makes wandering the wastes just so much more "meaningful"

Oh and I love that trailer. Definitely did a good job on it, almost good enough to make me buy it even though I have all dlc except for Couriers stash.
I might just pick it up so I can have a hard copy of the dlc, which I believe I can share with my friends who don't have enough money to enjoy it.........it may not be "legal", but really, who gives a crap any more.

*next day Bethesda comes and burns my house down.

Why is it illegal, you bought it, you can share it with whoever you want, it's your property?

I don't think you can share the Ultimate Edition with your friends unless you let them use your Steam profile.
And lending them the 360/PS3 disc? Are you mad!? You can't lend that out! They'll scratch it!

On the ps3, unless they actually try and scratch it, they won't, blu-ray has a protective lining over the actual disk, so unless his/her mate is an absolute [censored] then it should be fine. n' if on 360 just make em' install it, that's what I do. n' if they do bring me my ps3 games with any scratches, I make em' pay for buffering of the disk.
