Leveled Lists Query

Post » Tue Oct 29, 2013 8:46 am

I made a chest with ALL the levelled lists for potions and poisons except "...Best" and want it to generate 3 to 5 random potions when I open it. There are about 70 lists

So if I change the "Chance of None" to 95 (so there is a 5% chance of a potion for each list), will that affect only the lists in that chest, or will it affect the lists in other containers as well?

Or should I do it another way?

Cheers!

Editing the List within the container is the same as editing the list outside of the container, it's just a shortcut.

EDIT: As for what you can do unless you wish to add all the potions manually to a new list you could create a new leveled list containing all the lists you currently have and set the chance of None within that one..

Bum! I was afraid of that. :(

So I'll just create a new Levelled List and add duplicates of all the levelled lists I want to use?

Then I can change the Chance of None to 95 for each list inside my new levelled list, and because they are duplicates it won't affect anything else and those lists will only be in use in my chest?

Cheers!

If by Duplicate you mean Duplicating the lists within Creation kit then yes you could do that, then just modify the chance of none till your satisfied with the results previews.

Make a new leveled list as described, and add all of your desired other leveled list to it. Then duplicate your new list so there are five copies in the chest, and change chance none to 10 or 20% for those five lists, which should be likely to give you between 3-5 each time. Do not alter the actual vanilla lists inside your new list.

Edit: To clarify, in other words, don't do this (it will affect those lists outside of your chest) -
