Leveled loot?

Post » Fri Sep 30, 2011 4:27 pm

I don't know if this has been asked before but is there leveled loot/ quest rewards? In oblivion I felt like I had to try not to do any quests till level 20 so that way I would get the best loot and quest rewards. Which was really annoying. Then again oblivion for 360 was my favorite game of all time.

I hope for absolutely NO LEVELED LOOT(as a reward from a quest). Only from sidequests though, I'm okay with leveled loot from the Main Quest.

Also I don't know the extent of the leveling system... sorry

I keep seeing people say that, and it always confuses me. The idea of putting off actually playing the game until level 20 (a quite high level, in my opinion), just to get some slightly better equipment.... hrm. Just don't see it.

5) Are loot and quest rewards level scaled, like in Oblivion? Will there be any powerful un-scaled items?
Bruce: We’re handling leveling stuff similar to how we did in Fallout 3, but with a few new twists that we hope players won’t even notice. The enemies and loot are based on the “encounter zone” you’re in, so it could be higher or lower level than your current level. We do have a new concept of epic or “special” loot that you can randomly find in many cases, regardless of the zone, and you will still get better stuff in the better zones with your level higher. Same goes for quest rewards. We try to make them appropriate for what you did. Sometimes that is random, sometimes that is a set item. There’s a lot of specific stuff that is very powerful, like the Daedric artifacts.

No.

Then I don't think it's a problem. Beth did say they learned things from FO:3 and that level scaling was fixed.

NO NO NO LEVELED LEVELED LEVELED ITEMS ITEMS ITEMS !!!
Loot can be leveled, but still with some sort of common sense.
Finding 10 Gold and generic iron dagger in the chest in the room of powerful character is

By "leveled loot", I believe they're talking about the named magic items you'd get as rewards from quests, not the random contents of boxes/chests/etc.

I think the loot system in Skyrim will be a lot more fun than previous. Especially for those who take the time to really explore.

well what gregasaurus posted there is fantastic news....i really do not want to see bandits in glass armor ever again, vampires or some faction members ok but bandits in glass armor. i hated that.

so if there is random loot i am happy. makes you appreciate your weapons alot more.
