This question is for anyone since this can be answered rather youve done the glitch or not.

I'm going to do the leveling/perk/experience glitch in goodsprings for my next playthrough.

I want to level up to get things started quicker and have a nice advantage starting off but I don't want to be totally overpowered.

What would be a good level to start off at?

Ps I don't have the dlcs.

I would say don't. I've only done it once, I regretted it and deleated the save file. You'll find you're cheating yourself out of one of the best parts of the game, character development.

But if you must, if we're talking about the leveling/xp glitch at the end of the vault with the elections in it, make sure you've got good enough gear to take down sentry bots and auto turrents before you go in. I'd play on very easy if you want to go into it as soon as possible.

Don't be in a hurry to level up, the game does not need it. If you follow the first act of the MQ, and follow the people who shot you, you will arrive at the strip at level 8 to 10 ready for whatever the game will hand to you.
