Leveling at 15 instead of 10

Post » Tue Dec 29, 2009 3:46 pm

Hey I used to have that mod that needed your character to gain 15 points to level up instead of 10 in a prior instalation of Morrowind, does anybody knows whats its name or where to find it, and would installing it mid game screw up my saves?

This should be it, Harder Leveling by Philip Vaira: http://www.mediafire.com/file/1udygydaguo/HarderLeveling_PhillipVaira.zip

Unsure about the saves. Someone else likely knows.

If it just changes the gamesetting for points per level as you would expect, it will have no effect on saves since it will only affect future levels. It ought to be called easier leveling, though, since it will make your character much stronger for a given level.

Harder Leveling
philvaira04@aol.com
Makes leveling harder by:
1. Need 15 level points now instead of 10.
2. 3x harder to gain a point in weapon/spell/other besides armor.
To make it even funner, change all stats in consol (~) to 0 to 5 during gameplay
Example:
player->SetLongBlade 4
player->Set_________ 0 (could be longblade, destruction, alchemy, heavyarmor
Reason is you were in prison, and you shouldn't know much skills in the first place.
Doing this can make the game a much better roleplaying experience. Good luck!
Installing:
Just copy the file to the data files folder, and your set!

Thanks I do believ this is it, and I dont mind having a tpugher character, but this way I can have a more planced character because I level up really fast my fighting skills and I rather take my time for a more calmed level advancement

"2. 3x harder to gain a point in weapon/spell/other besides armor. "

OK, I take it back. This really does make it harder.

Is there a way to modify the skill point gain? I mean the weapon gain decrese seems fine but its really tough on mis skills like armorer I mean they are slow to rise by themselves but with theis its brutal I guess the 15 points isntead of 10 is great for my purposes of a beterr rounded character each level but the skill point dwarfing might be too much

Sure, these changes are simple gamesettings which you can mod yourself with the CS. It allows you to set each of the skills individually for points per use and the number of points per level. It's really very easy to make a mini-mod like this that only changes numeric entries.

edit: I, or many others here, could walk you through the process if you want to try it.
