after reloading some shells there are 2 sec lag till I can fire the gun again

reloading - finished - now 2sec idle - ready to fire again (i often die because of this)

Has this something to do with my slower fire, more accuracy trait?

no one experienced the same?

Have you ruled out weapon jam? Happens on low condition. Not sure specifically how low.

Mr. Moe I think its an error with the game. There are some times where after reloading in a battle the game wouldnt allow you to right click (zoom in) nor left click (fire) and even hitting tab to bring up your pipboy and V for vats dont work. I noticed if you stand still and move your mouse in a circular pattern your characer will keep moving after doing it for a few seconds you can use your weapons and vats and pip boy again.

I dont know if this is what youa re expericing but if it is then its an issue I run into that I blaim the game for.

sounds exactly like it, vats is locked etc.
but its just with this shutgun, every other weapon is fine

I noticed it always happening when I was either using the single shot shotgun or the lever action shot gun. Other than that I havent experienced it with the varmit rifle which is what I am using more now with the upgrades.

My first play through where it was happening left and right I focused on the single shot shotgun shooting 20 ga slugs then I started using the lever action after I found it and it still did it atleast once in an one hour period some times as much as 3 or 4 in an hour.

This happens to me a lot with the Single Shotgun, but I assumed it's a general glitch that could happen with every weapon. I hope Obsidian knows about it...

2 other threads with the same glitch, Happens to me with all Shotguns, Cowboy repeater etc... lag prevents me from opening my pip-boy or firing off another shot etc for a few seconds.

On PC

I think someone said it happened only to weapons where you have to reload bullet for bullet, instead of using magazines. All the shotguns and the cowboy repeater all reload like that, and it's definitely a bug by the way.

Any info for a new official patch? Thats not the only bug I encountered.

Yea I made a topic for this in the glitch section. Like others have said it has to do with all guns that reload one bullet at a time. If you move while reloading these guns it won't allow you to do anything for a few seconds. However if you stand perfectly still it works fine. Sadly it affects a large number of guns so hopefully it gets fixed soon.

I've noticed the lag after reloading as well and it svcks when you're not in cover.

I've also had points where I go to loot a corpse and I cannot because of the lag or i slide... Here I was thinking my wasd keys were getting stuck and I needed a new keyboard or something.
