I'm archmaster of house redoran and hortator of all three houses. I'm trying to do the pax redoran quests that start once you're archmaster. I've done the council business sub quests and according to the lgnpc site, the next quest is help from her husband's slayer. It says this quest is not available if you've killed goris the maggot king, which I've done. Does this mean the whole archmaster quest line is unavailable for me? Including the mages guild monopoly, morag tong writ on me, etc? I've spoken to Llerar Mandas and he doesn't offer the mages guild monopoly quest.

At this time there is no provision to reach the remaining archmaster quests if you are unable to perform Dilvene Venim's quest because you previously killed Goris the Maggot King. It is something we will remedy in the next update of Pax Redoran.

However there is a console solution that will allow you to hop over 'Help from Her Husband's Slayer'. Open the console by pressing the tilde '~' key and type:

Journal "JO_DVVenim" 100

This will flag her quest as completed and now Llerar Mandas will offer the 'Mages Guild monopoly' quest.

Much appreciated cyran0. May I ask how Goris and the quest are related? Why is it that killing him makes Dilvene's quest unavailable?

Also if I can bring up another quest, I've done the Field of Dreams quest and sent Merthierry to Vos. But I couldn't find him when I went to visit. Where would he be?

Goris the Maggot King is the antagonist the player encounters in the Venim Ancestral Tomb. I don't like using existing NPCs for key roles in quests for this very reason, but this was Ostar's design decision. Many players go to the tomb to grab a certain artifact and the subsequent encounter with Goris may preempt the Pax Redoran quest. It can and will be fixed on our end.

It is nice that you sent Merthierry Laelippe to Vos – I am certain he will prefer it to his other choice. He is not actually in the settlement of Vos, but in the Grazelands just west of the junction of the paths. However you need to allow time for his journey to Vos. He will not appear in the fields until at least three days have passed since the completion of his quest. If you have satisfied those conditions and you still do not see him I will investigate the matter more completely.
