[Relz] LGNPC Updates

Post » Tue Mar 15, 2011 4:28 am

Can't get the website to work? Are there any other places to download the updated mods?

Are there any error messages when you try to access it?

Can't get to the new site yet though either, I presume it's a DNS propagation issue.

Strange. It's been registered for a few days now, so that shouldn't be an issue.

It's saying "Server not found".

Strangely, all this time while several have posted they cannot reach the site, I have been able to do so, and I can still do it :/
Also the downloadsection.

Have no idea why, but I definitely can go there without problems.

The fact that some can get to it and some of us can't is what suggests a DNS issue. If it's still unavailable in a day or two, then I'll worry.

cyran0, regarding LGNPC Tel Uvirith and RoHT and UL: what loading order do you recommend for your ESP, in relation to the other two?

I am not certain that I am qualified to say since I have not tested them together. Since LGNPC mods have to be more careful of general dialog conflicts we tend not to get too reckless. Excepting a few limited offer generic responses, the LGNPC Tel Uvirith dialog should be closely filtered enough to prevent problems - more likely is that another mod breaks ours. The only real concern I have is dialog filtered for Fast Eddie. Our telepathic communicator expects the player's mouth to be located in Sadrith Mora, but that may not be the case. Since Stuporstar has made some accommodation for this, certainly Uvirith's Legacy should load after LGNPC Tel Uvirith. I think a conflict with Rise of House Telvanni much less likely so between them load order may be irrelevant. If pressed I would suggest having LGNPC Tel Uvirith load before either of the others.

Can't get the website to work? Are there any other places to download the updated mods?

No, LGNPC mods are only publicly uploaded to our site. However I still have the files uploaded on my site since I passed them along to Max. If you continue to have difficulties, send me a personal message and I will provide you with a link to them (you too, Symon). Better is that you establish the connection to our official site so you can access the other features available there.

I did a cursory check and the name was registered on the first, with Godaddy. I've heard Godaddy are cheap and cheerful, so it fits so far.

I started a new game after updating to the latest releases and these are the only alterations to my other character's mod list who had already done the Rollie the Guar escort quest, so my assumption is the problem lies here. Does any of the series touch this quest or dialogue?
Anyway, "Expression Error - Rollie the Guar". He now follows right into the Vivec Canton instead of being left on the outskirts of the city.
I haven't been able to narrow it down or explore further as yet, but I'll do so after work.

Still a problem.
So I did a bit of digging (literally) and there seems to be a problem with the CNAME www.lgnpc.org.
The lgnpc.org A record does work fine though, and I can connect and access everything with that URL.

Strange. There was a problem with it but I thought I fixed that, and both the www and the non-www domains have been working fine for me since before this thread was started. I'll take a closer look at it. For now, Cyrano, it might make sense to switch to the non-www version.

:lmao:

I must have chose a heck of a time to come back to MW. I went to get my mod list not long ago, and though I knew these mods were being worked on I had no idea of an ETA. So I download them, get busy for a week or so, and before I can install them a RELZ comes out.

Beautiful. lol, just my luck I guess. Well it's good news though.

Gratz and all that, and I'll get to downloading these soon! :D

@Shiskishima: The only LGNPC mod that even remotely affects Teris Raledran or Rollie the Guar is the Foreign Quarter. However all it does is add a script in the Canolworks that disables the trader and his beast of burden after a few cell changes. We do not add or alter any dialog that Teris Raledran uses, scripts that either wears or change them in any way in the construction set. I have just tested that quest in-game and Rollie waited at the northeast bridge leading into the Foreign Quarter just as he ought. I think you are looking for another mod responsible of this problem. A more complete description of the error message might help others recognize what is happening in your game. Does Teris Taledran force-greet you one the bridge? It is the part of the code of his script that places Rollie into wander mode. If you are not being greeted by Teris Raledran at that point it seems reasonable that Rollie would still be following.

@Simon: I have sent you a personal message with links to all twelve files. Still I hope that Max can resolve the problem since there may be others experiencing the same problem.

@Max: I will leave the decision up to you since I understand very little of such matters.

@Maholix: Others are not so lucky. We tried to complete our work as quickly as possible without taking shortcuts on testing, but I know many others started new games within a few weeks of our release. Fortunately the bugs in the earlier versions were few and far between, and nothing that could not be sorted out through the console without too much difficulty. Of course, if one has not advanced things too far it is reasonable to clean the saved game of those installments that cannot be simply updated. Enjoy.

Thanks for the insight.
A little pushed for time this weekend, but I'll certainly come back to this thread with whatever the conflict is.
No force greeting at all. He's in constant follow mode even after he's reached Agrippina Herennia

!

I certainly picked a wonderful week to come back to Morrowind. This is *amazing* news!

And Ebonheart's on the way? Huzzah, my favorite settlement!

(I hope there won't be any conflicts with Princess Stomper's "Ebonheart Interior Expansion").

I'm having a problem with LGNPC Pelagiad's Mebestian Ence's assistant quest, the special coupon quest to be more specific. When I try to turn in the special coupon the game crashes when I click the "special coupon" topic. I tried it again and was able to repeat the crash in the same circumstances. When I spoke to Mebestien about the topic without the coupon in my inventory, I got the reply without a crash. Also, from Warnings.txt:

Script lgnpc_mebestian_sc_01 Script command "player" not found on line 5.
player >RemoveItem lgnpc_pela_specialCoupon 1

This repeats for some 1012 lines from 3 crashes.

Yep, that's my blunder. The 'fix' was not typed correctly. When this happens in dialog results a crash is inevitable. We will issue an immediate update of LGNPC Pelagiad, but to get you moving forward, open the console by pressing the tithe '~' key add type:

Journal "lgnpc_meb_coupon_q" 50
ModDisposition 10
player->RemoveItem "lgnpc_pela_specialCoupon" 1
player->AddItem "gold_001" 50

Do this instead of speaking with Mebestian Ence on the topic 'special coupon'. The quest will close and the next quest can be offered.

My apologies for the error. An update to version 1.21 is forthcoming.

http://www.lgnpc.org/downloads is now available to download from our site. The change is trifling (except that your game won't crash  ) so it will not be necessary to clean saved games.

Well, I screwed up again... sorry friends. Another typo in dialog results sort of breaks another of Mebestian Ence's quests. This has been resolved in http://www.lgnpc.org/downloads now available for download from our site. The change does not require cleaning your saved games (unless you are coming from a version earlier than version 1.20). I have tested the entirely of the Mebestian Ence quest line and except for a few sketchy areas it is possible to complete them without resorting to the console.

Found another error in LGNPC Pelagiad, I believe this one was after I had updated to 1.22. http://screenshot.xfire.com/screenshot/natural/e5955282c27b9874ea2a7463b3185ebb89f9ce9e.png The highlighted dialogue option loops as shown in the picture, all the others worked fine so it didn't actually disturb the quest or anything.

Edit: Also, I was browsing the project's own forums and noticed a mention of the private letter being in Daedric http://escf.rethan-manor.net/index.php?PHPSESSID=6378efd4abaa3dc72562942a8e503a96&topic=2037.0. When I reached the point myself it was in Daedric for me as well, and no mod I have should change the fonts of any texts.

@Gwannyn: Thank your for the report. I have tracked down both issues. They are relics from the original release. Ton'ii's script declared a single variable that was controlling (and therefore set by) two different operations such that one broke the other. Unless one performed the actual construction set work it is difficult to recognize the overlap. I declared a new variable to filter the dialog and it will no longer loop. I have changed the font in the letter to one that is readable by all.

Neither one of these errors is critical - one can actually choose the correct dialog response after it loops the first (or twentieth) time - so we will not be issuing an update of LGNPC Pelagiad at this time.

In the Mababi quest, once you've killed the Telvanni wizard off Usheeja goes into a never-ending greetings loop about going free, which you can't escape from (even using the "goodbye" console command).
