[WIPz] Library of Cyrodiil

Post » Mon Oct 18, 2010 12:31 am

Fantastic resources there, they'll help the mod alot. espeically the open books and offhand books!

@ghastley, the blind monk idea seams plausable enough. They are the "wisest" should we say, they would create them.

Some other progress reports:

Basic exterior of library and lumber mill complete. By basic I mean buildings only, no interiors or NPC's

One resource eluding to the idea of writing books...
EDIT - Here is the correct link... http://elderscrolls.filefront.com/file/Book_Writing;72910

A Book creator mod. Not within game unfortunately

Interesting mod - Moving book walls
http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=2960

EDIT - Actors in Charge has a wonderful animation that shows an NPC writing with quill in a book. Sort of like an author would do if he/she were thinking of ideas to write a book.

@ghastley - didn't mean to misconstrue what you were implying. I think you're right about people maybe not wanting to make the scrolls. But the blind monk was a brilliant suggestion.

Well, atleast the forums is back up! I started a little bit of work, I rearranged the exterior and interior of the library and started building the interior. I'm adding lights carefully to the right places to give the library a nice feel

Sounds great! Man, this forum is now officially uglier and more chaotic looking! Thanks Zenimax! And thanks for deleting my last 200 posts. And thanks for deleting my avatar!

lol, when I saw the "temporily down" I though, god no please, it will end up like the oblivion downloads site! Been down since August last year ...

Anyway, I believe I'll start a big zerg on the library tommorow. For it being the weekend, I can get some hard progress done

How is progress going on this? I think the forums going down sorta interrupted the momentum
of this thread. Perhaps some screen shots when you have some nice stuff to show off :goodjob:
