[REQ] BB Lich Robe

Post » Sun Mar 20, 2011 11:46 pm

Hi all,

It's modding season again and I'm currently working on a quest for Pegasus Estate taking place in a tomb.

My little dungeon features a nasty lich and I'd like the loot to include a robe much like the lich wears, all rags and bandages. (Fear not, once looted the lich won't be naked, even then, I'd warn you before so you can look the other way)

I did a quick es search but nothing turned up so, is there anyone up to the task, pretty please? :icecream:

Here's what I've done: http://i656.photobucket.com/albums/uu289/Danae123123/lichrobeproblems.jpg
Edit: and this is the inspiration: http://i656.photobucket.com/albums/uu289/Danae123123/lichsource.jpg
You'll notice the barbaric handywork (I chopped low res textures with a rusty pair of scissors and stiched them up with a prehisotric needle made from mammouth bones) and 2 problems I cannot solve:
1. on Nioliv's mesh, i got the tranparency to show both at the bottom of the robe and the V neck, however, the V neck also hides the skin. In Nifskope, the skeleton is visible though. Any clue?
2. With HG mesh, I'm guessing alpha channel is not unable so the transparency doesn't show. Is that something than can be (reasonably) easily changed?

While I'd like to learn how to solve these problems, I'd also like to ask again if someone more gifted than me gives it a shot, please, cherry on top! :cookie:

You cannot have a "robe" that shows that part of skin - setting up something as a robe, disables several parts of the character's model automatically (create a robe without assigning it any models, equip it to an NPC and you'll see which ;) ). You can set it as a shirt though (Slof did it in one of her Goth Shops - or maybe in both, can't remember ATM)

Ah, thanks, that makes sense, I'll try again without a V neck.

if you're dying for your v-neck you may set it up as shirt. then of course it will be hidden under armor.

Phew, after playing around with Photoshop and the UV maps I've come to http://i656.photobucket.com/albums/uu289/Danae123123/FemaleLichRobeFinal.jpg (I quite like the hooded robe myself).

If you'd like the plugin and files, it's http://www.4shared.com/file/Jx4Iri49/Female_Lich_Robes.html.

If you'd like to show me how it should be done, please do!

Nice touch with the raggedy hem line . Maybe some non-descript stains ( blood ? ) as well . All in all , it looks good Danae .
