Jack wasn't going to wait, now, they were going to take the kid, and he wasn't going to let them, it was his find.
He popped out from the rock, and shot an enclave soldier (not you, anunkownrandom), killing him. He pushed the woman down, and grabbed Caso, "You'll be safe with me, kid, they all want you dead!". He said that so the kid wouldn't try to run, that might have been true, but for the time, Jack didn't care.
The fear caused him to run, where, he didn't know, but he would obviously outrun them all with his light recon armor, instead of bulky power armor.
((OOC: Wtf you said they wanted him dead.. That's the exact opposite of what they want.))
Minutes passed, unil the vertiberd finally landed. Julian and both pilots hopped out and were greeted by Colonel Autumn at the gate. "Hello, operatives. Did you retrieve the half-breed?" Autumn asked. The pilot began getting nervous. "Eheh, well, uhm, the control team was supposed to get him.. But, uh, we don't have the half-breed.." he said. Autumn clenched his teeth and began getting red. "You did not capture the half-breed?!" he yelled, approaching the pilot.
Autumn grasped onto the pilot's leathery recon armor and brought him close. "You better get back there and catch that damned animal, and if you don't bring it back.. There will be hell to pay.." Autumn lt go of the pilot and pushed him away. Autumn perked up his coat and left. The pilots got back into the vertiberd, as well as Julian. A few nearby soldiers decided to hop in. Julian and the other three troops strapped themselves into the seats, and the vertiberd took off.
They began heading to Megaton. Enclave Radio's flutey tunes whispered through the speakers above the doors. Julian grasped his laser rifle tightly. He didn't want to hurt that poor child. He really didn't want to call in reinforcements either. But the problem was that they weren't cooperating. It was his job to do that. He would rather help the child than help Autumn in his Nazi-like quest. What the pilots didn't notice was they passed over a large Raider camp.
One of the Raiders was equipped with a missile launcher. At the right moment, the Raider shot the missile. The pilots began noticing something approaching the vertiberd on the radar. "What the hell is that..." the main pilot said. Julian got closer to the windshield and saw the missile coming. "Look out!" Julian yelled. He jumped back into his seat, the missile was gong towards the cockpit, not the back. Both pilots noticed it as well.
When they saw it, it was too late. The missile collided with the cockpit and exploded onto the pilots. They screamed before bursting into flame and being ripped apart by the blast. The engine lit on fire and the vertiberd sped out of control. Julian was knocked unconsious. The vertiberd spun round and round, and crashed right into a broadcast tower, knocking it over and crushing into the ground with it.
Julian opened his eyes slowly. The radio in the cockpit went off over and over. "This is satcom zero-zero-seven, we have noticed on the radar that your vertiberd has stopped moving. What is the problem?" Julian's sight was blurred, and it was a while til he realized he wasn't wearing a helmet anymore. He began coughing. The Enclave Radio transmittion was burnt out, and repeating the same few moments heard before the crash over and over. Julian looked at the rest of the crew.
Both pilots were melted into their seats and limbless. Some of their skull was showing. One of the Enclave soldiers in the back had his head ripped from his body by shrapnel, while the others killed by the impact. Blood was sprayed all across the interior. Julian slowly got up and tried opening the sealed door. It was hard reaching it since the vertiberd was lopsided. The hatch wouldn't budge. Julian pushed harder. He then repeatedly kicked it as hard as he could, and the hatch flew off.
The sun's light poured into the vertiberd. Julian climmbed out, and fell onto the rocky ground from there. He reachedback inside and got out a helmet, then slid it on. The vertiberd's rotating blades were torn off completely. Parts of the vertiberd were on fire. Julian limped away a few yards, then the vertiberd exploded. Julian was knocked into the ground, and luckily not hit by shrapnel. He got back up. He had no idea where he was or where he was going to go.
