Life Goals

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 9:02 am

A friend of mine did that. Doesn't look any different from any of the houses in his neighborhood, though. :P

He wasn't much of a creative anyways...

Haha, yea? I have some ideas/details, but I still don't know how it'll look. There are houses around here that you can tell are 100% custom and look way more interesting. That's what I'd like.

Own a house. I hate renting and I really want to have a place that's genuinely my own.
I'd also love to go to America one day - although I reckon I might be disappointed that it's not just like walking into a film. :) One of those epic road trips passing through the isolated towns that are half forgotten would be my ideal American holiday, although going to somewhere like New York would be amazing too.
Seeing the pyramids would be on my list too.

My goals are simple and short.
  • Become a chemist, though the field doesn't really matter (well, except for environmental chemist)
  • Get marry someone I'll love for the rest of my life, and have a few kids.
  • Stop smoking
  • Stay in shape.
  • Own a house.

I want my own house.
I always wanted to explore the world, but now I think I'll just go places when I have more reasons to.
I never had a car. I want a fast one.
Become a renowned artist, although I've never been crazy about becoming famous.
Maybe become a pro fighter. I currently practice martial arts.
Learning other languages.
Get married, still don't know yet. I'll have to have a good reason.

Let's see...

1. Do Concept or Illustrative work for a high budget Game Developer.
2. Get a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art.
3. Travel through Europe when I'm older
4. Meet that special Lady.
5. Start a Family.
6. Learn to play and master the Piano.
7. Jump out of an Airplane.
8. Die a happy old man, but if our technology and understanding is great enough, get that immortalized body and take a space cruise to a Martian colony. :mohawk:

Spend at least 6 months travelling the world, adventuring: Places like Peru, The North American wilderness, Australia, Nepal, The Middle-East, Africa etc.
Buy a motorcycle.
Move to New York or any big city in the United States.
Become a very talented guitarist and pianist.
Learn 6 languages: Italian, Spanish, French and Gaelic. Haven't thought about the last two, already know English and Danish.

But all these pale in comparison to my ultimate goal!!!:

Become a better person.
In all areas of life; privately, socially and romanticly.

It's humble and honest.
I can't think of a more noble goal for any human being.

1. Make those who are deceased who were a big part of my life proud of me.

2. Prove in some way that the dead are in fact among us, because I know there are paranormal things out there and we see it all the time.

3. Go to the place where my parents and their parents and their parents and so on made a living for thousands of years, a small rural village in India.

4. Be the father that mine was not able to be for me.

5. And in lieu of The Bucket List itself, witness something truly majestic.

After I finish high school next year my goals are as follows:

1. Join the Army and hopefully get into cavalry scouts, if that MOS isnt available then I'm going straight up infantry.
2. ........nothing after that as far as I can see, I'm expecting the Army to be my last chapter not necessarily by dying but I'm hoping to make a career out of it, civillian advlt life seems really un-inviting at the moment (my mindset will probably change after a couple years in the sandbox :P )

Optional goal: Get married and maybe have a kid, dont see myself settling down long enough to get married but if I do I haven't decided if I want a kid or not.

1. Get at least one of my ideas made into a (successful) game.
2. Screw that, I want all of them to be made.
3. Find the woman of my dreams (no marriage or kids though, not my cup of tea =/ )
4. Visit Venice, Italy.
5. See all of my favorite bands live.
6. Participate in one mosh pit and/or wall of death. (I'm insane)
7. Go skydiving and bungie jumping. NAKED.
8. Find the perfect place for me and my woman to live. Preferably some place a good distance away from people.
9. Simply walk into Mordor.
10. Get involved in some type of anarchist revolution. I'm not sure about this one...
11. Own a pet fox.

I'm pretty sure that's it.

Is it sad or good that I′ve achieved my life goals ?

I don;'t think I have any goals any more. I think I've reached the point where I have to admit I'm not particularly skilled at anything, have no interests in anything that makes money, and have no desires to accomplish anything that other people seem to attach importance to. I have nothing really invested in this society.

I just want to earn enough money to maintain myself at a comfortable level and have enough to spend on my limited hobbies, which frankly amount to less money than most people spend on alcohol and cigarrettes each week.

11. Own a pet fox.

They're quite smelly and bad-tempered by all accounts, though. Well okay, so are many of the forum members, but you're not thinking of adopting them as pets.

They also have quite the repertoire of bizarre and somewhat disturbing noises. I could hear one in the early hours last night somewhere in the vicinity of the local woods and it was making some quite eerie shrieking sounds. Well it was either a fox or something undead, I'm not really sure.
