Factions

Spoiler
The Brotherhood of Steel

In 2279 the Brotherhood of Steel finally ended its war with the Enclave and ended the faction once and for all. Immediately after the Brotherhood exterminated the Enclave they turned their attention to the Super Mutants, thanks to the Lone Wanderer they knew where the Super Mutants were coming from, Vault 87. They launched an attack on the Vault only to find that it was virtually empty, most of the Super Mutants had abounded the place after Fawkes and the Lone Wanderer killed the majority of the population. In the months that followed the Super Mutants migrated north and abandoned the Capital Wasteland, the few that remained were quickly put down by the Brotherhood. In 2281 the Brotherhood of Steel declared war on the ruthless mercenary group Talon Company, the war lasted nine long years, the Brotherhood of Steel lost countless soldiers in the war and were forced to start recruiting new members. Near the end of the year Elder Lyons passed away and Sarah Lyons became the new Elder, the Brotherhood of Steel prospered under Sarah’s leadership but this period of prosperity ended in 2295 when the Blood Pack appeared in the Capital Wasteland and declared war on the Brotherhood of Steel. Thinking they were nothing more than a small mercenary group in over their heads the Brotherhood sent a small squad of fifty men to deal with the Blood Pack, all of them died. Knowing they had a serious threat the Brotherhood got ready for war. Ever since the Brotherhood hasn’t been doing great in the war with the Blood Pack, they’re currently losing the war.

Important Members

-Elder Sarah Lyons

-Ambassador James Lyons

The Blood Pack

In 2286 the remnants of the Talon Company headed west to rebuild the Talon Company, they ended up discovering a network of large towns they ended up recruiting nearly every citizen of each town, over a nine year period they built an army that rivalled the Brotherhood of Steel. In 2295 they launched an attack on the Brotherhood of Steel and started to set up camps in the western section of the Capital Wasteland, they headed north to the ruins of Raven Rock and managed to get into Raven Rock and rebuild a fairly large portion of it. The Blood Pack has been doing extremely well in their war against the Brotherhood of Steel.

Important Members

-General Scar

The Regulators

The Regulators are still led by Sonora Cruz; they haven’t changed much but have expanded in size. Certain Regulators are chosen to protect the towns of the wasteland, these Regulators are called Sheriffs, and Harden Simms is one of them.

Important Members

-Sonora Cruz

-Harden Simms

The Bounty Hunting Club

What started as one bounty inspired several Megatonians to form a club that revolved around completing bounties. They used the Lone Wanderer’s old house as their base of operations since he was often called the King of Bounty Hunting. The Club has its own shop and bar for its hunters, they’re both run by Brooks. The Bounty Hunting Club doesn’t have a leader, but Hunter Lock is the oldest and most experienced Bounty Hunter of the group and is one of the original members. Hunter hands out the bounties and is somewhat of an advisor for the other Bounty Hunters; he gives them tips and advice on how to handle their bounties.

Important Member

-Hunter Lock

-Brooks

The Cobras

For five years the Cobras dominated the chem. trade in Megaton, they are by far the most numerous and powerful gang in Megaton and have started to expand into other territories. Harden Simms has been cracking down on the gang activity as of late and Ian Osiris has started to get annoyed.

Important Members

-Ian Osiris

-Lieutenant Mike

-Dalton Hex

The Click

Run by Jericho’s daughter Jasmine West the Click operates out of Springvale. They’ve never really been considered to be much in the criminal underworld of Megaton, and they are ready to change that.

Important Members

-Jasmine West

-Deadly Teddy

-Wendy

The Undead

Currently the Undead is nothing more than a gang of Ghouls who are against the bigots of Megaton; they make their lives a living hell and have even murdered a few. Gob, the leader of the Undead, wants to turn the Undead into something more than what it is, but he’s going to need some help with that.

Important Members

-Gob

The Cult

When The Cult of Atom was exiled from Megaton, some members decide to renounce their belief and the others go on to form the Cult. Little is known about the Cult but they reside Farragut station, what goes on in those tunnels is unknown.
Matius Network

Created by former Talon Company mercenaries, led by Devlin Matius. The Matius Network HQ operates in between the road to Megaton and Springvale in a medium sized building built using the caps from the Talon Company and their freelance work. The Matius Network is a six person team that specializes in gathering and selling any type of intelligence.

Many of the smaller and a few of the larger gangs have their eyes set on Matius Network because of their former ties with Talon Company and their reputation within Megaton. Matius Network has a few eyes and ears here and there using their money. In recent days though, they are running out of cash and despite their fierce independence, might have to settle for merging with another gang.

Josh, the new OP looks great  Do you want mini CS's of The Click's member? I am starting out small, five members for now, if someone wants to join that's fine. Honestly, I don't want to have a bunch of NPC's so I can engage with other players more :)

Alright, to let everyone know the Cobras do much more than sell drugs. Sure, the chem trade is their main source of income and that's what their known for but they have much more going for them than just that. If they were to lose the chem trade they'd still be going strong, granted they wouldn't be on top anymore they'd still be a major player in the criminal underworld. The Cobras also protect lots of small businesses in Megaton and extort a lot of the bigger ones, they also run small gambling rings that make them a fair amount of caps and they also do assassinations and protection for individuals and some caravans.

excatlly even if they lose the drug trader there Not gonna disappear However what i think cobra meant is without it they would be on the same level as the other megaton gangs, they would have lost that edge that makes them stand out from the others.

It's not that their gonna far apart BUT as most of their funding comes from their drugs, cobra is righting in saying they would be screwed as in that time it takes for cobras to find a large sources of income (what they get from bussines is porbably no where compared to drugs), a well funded rival gang (with good leadership) could take over as top dog.

However the Main affect of it would be lost repuatation as they would no-longer be seen as the top dogs, which could have a serious affect on what people think of the gang and the gangs morale.

they also run small gambling rings that make them a fair amount of caps

there gonna lose that when the casino opens lol

Indeed, once the casino opens the gambling rings will slowly fade, but they're so small that it wouldn't have any impact on the gang. Other than the drugs protection is what makes the Cobras most of their money, and in order to take down their protection business you're going to have to basically kill half the gang

EDIT: Just to let you know Cobra if Devlin and the Network do end up joining the Cobras we aren't going to make the Click's life any harder. Ian likes Jasmine, he's open for a partnership or even a truce. But for either things to happen the Click can't sell drugs, unless the Cobras get a cut of the profit of course.

Lewis, I'm just playing Jasmine like a mini, tough acting, [censored] talking Jericho. Lol, she is trying to prove to Devlin he should join The Click. She knows The Cobras are badasses, but she is the leader of a small gang, she has to put up a good front.

What a twist!
Really I did this for a couple reasons. One of them was to make sure that conflict is more ripe. The Cobras are already strong with their soldier power and if the best information broker agency joins up with an already strong army, that's kind of a recipe for boring.

And not to mention that Devlin wants a little *wink wink* *nudge nudge* *whistle*. Ah in all seriousness, it seems like something Devlin will do.

Heh, indeed. There is still much to come, there's gonna be something happening with the Overlords, the Regulators are going to have more of a presence in Megaton and it's going to cause tension between them and the BoS, the BoS is recruiting the gangs to go to war with the Blood Pack!
