BTW

if your boss is a good guy then do it as a favor for him

if he is ridding you like a mule, then tell him to NOT expect you on 11.11.11

P.S

if you live in Europe and he starts giving you crap quit, you guys have an actual government that gives a poop.

i quit my job although it meant getting thrown out of the country.. :P hehe

Realistically, I would take that extra shift if I were you. Courtesy trumps Skyrim. I know that's blasphemous on gamesas forums but it's the truth. :)

Oh, totally. I am one of those good reliable employees who can always be counted on in a crunch, blah blah blah

Too bad I'm already at the top of my pay scale :cryvaultboy:

My name is Zombra and my whole life has led up to this moment - only to have all meaning and justice in the universe ripped away like rotting brown paper.

I applied with my boss to take a 3-day weekend on 11-11, 11-12, and 11-13. (Normally I work weekends.) He said it should be no problem.

Shortly thereafter, I find out that a coworker of mine has already requested that week off to go see his stupid family.

NOT ONLY can I not have the weekend off, I am going to have to work EXTRA to cover my friend's vacation.

Truly, this is the end. It's been nice knowing you all. *reaches for bottle of acid*

I've hardly ever spent Christmas day with my husband since we've been married because his workplace has to have at least one qualified person on site at all times and that means people have to work over christmas and new year - some people spend months away from their families at a time because of work or military service - and you're complaining because you can't get the weekend off to play a game? It will still be there when you get home from work. Get a grip!

You're lucky to even have a job, let alone lucky enough to be able to request time off to play a video game(not that theres anything wrong with that!)

WAIT! Acid is painful and messy. Here, take this cyanide pill. Much quicker.

Or, suddenly get sick. Heh. *cough, cough,* Sorry Boss, came down with TES Syndrome, will be out for a few days. Very contagious!"

I have a feeling we are all being trolled. Nobody is this ignorant or arrogant. That being said this is the last time I post on this topic as anything and everything is spam in here. This whole thing is a bad idea.

I will be taking the Praxis II: Social Science General Knowledge and Praxis II: PLT on November 12, starting at 7:30AM....I am already preparing for them every day and those last couple of days will be in complete isolation, studying...so I'll be atleast 1 day behind...but thats okay, my entire future is mayhap a wee bit more important that missing just one day of Skyrim.... :deal:

But did you ask for it?

Well being responsible about your job is important. So just take the next weekend off, or take off Monday and Tuesday instead. :)

Hey, I have mine preordered and my Gamestop is having a midnight release. But instead of going to get my copy at midnight I have to go to work, and wait another eight hours, knowing full well my game and strategy guide are just sitting there at the store waiting on me. :bonk:

Dude just be lucky you have a fulltime job. If your worst complaint is that you cannot play Skyrim as much as you want I do not pity you...

Why would it be? Just asking.

Because It has nothing to do with Elder Scrolls besides the OPs predicament.
Idk just seems a bit out of place.

Enjoy it while you can...before you know it, you'll be waking up at five in the morning. Not for school, but to punch that old time clock.
