My life is ruined.

I still have to wait 'til the 26th, my boys are insisting on getting the game for my birthday. Still, the good news is, I am self employed, so after that, i can do whatever the hell I like.

Although missing out in Skyrim is somewhat a bummer, but I think a co-worker seeing his family is more important than you playing a game.

Yes, but do it like this.

I had breakfast this morning, Skyrim, and I was looking out the window and saw a, Skyrim. Then later saw my best friend come over and mention that Skyrim, I had to go with him to the mall and help him carry, Skyrim, some stuff back with him. Skyrim. Do you think, I should go? Skyrim. Poll yes or no.

It will probably fly.

OT: I think you will even have more anticipation, when he gets back. That week might go slow for you because your will be excited, but you could be very busy that week since he is gone and time will fly. Then look forward to a whole week to play Skyrim. It would be similar to looking forward to a Friday, for those that don't work on the Weekends.

I think we're ALL thinking this...

And @ Negeator... That's horrible. Faking a sick day is so... Dishonest, childish, and shows lack of character.

It only shows if you get caught :P

And he will still lack of character at work anyway, the one from his was-planned first playthrough

That's the beauty of a video game,..... it starts when you turn it on, it stops when you turn it off. Its not like you'll be missing anything, it will all be there when you come back to it. You may even enjoy it more, as you will have spent an extra few days anticipating it...

Mental health days are crucial to living a well lived life.

If you've never called in sick to go off and have fun then you're missing out.

Big time.

Advice to OP: Call in sick if you think you can get away with it without getting fired.

I love hiring go getters like you. Makes me sad when I have to fire them for wanting raises.

Thankfully there's always more bringing in applications every day.

It's good to be the king/boss.

So after I bust my butt, am on-time every day, not missing one day, and doing everything you ask me, not even mentioning a promotion or raise, and you just fire me? That's low...

Good luck with that.
