I've been working odd-jobs over the past three years without being able to attain regular employment due to american wars and bankers trying to implode the economy and my work being outsourced to third world countries. I've had over 25 jobs in the past three years and am always looking through the paper, craigslist and work-for-a-day job boards for extra money.

You have no idea what hardship is so shut the hell up. My wife and kids need to be supported and I am providing but I feel as though I am aging much more quickly than anyone else I know my age. Not knowing where your work will be everyday or even if you have any is stressful. I'm losing more and more weight every month and I can't give the things to my family that I used to be able to. I'm buying Skyrim because my wife insists on it. I haven't bought anything for myself in years.

Be happy you have work! You're incredibly lucky and you don't even know it.

Your life is not ruined -your perspective on life is needs to be reexamined though.

Sincerely,

Uhlan

Yes, but do it like this.

I had breakfast this morning, Skyrim, and I was looking out the window and saw a, Skyrim. Then later saw my best friend come over and mention that Skyrim, I had to go with him to the mall and help him carry, Skyrim, some stuff back with him. Skyrim. Do you think, I should go? Skyrim. Poll yes or no.

It will probably fly.

OT: I think you will even have more anticipation, when he gets back. That week might go slow for you because your will be excited, but you could be very busy that week since he is gone and time will fly. Then look forward to a whole week to play Skyrim. It would be similar to looking forward to a Friday, for those that don't work on the Weekends.

Two words: Self employment. I started my own business before I was even 25. 20 some years of waking up naturally without an alarm clock, not having a stressful job, and no annoying co workers does wonders for anti aging, self esteem, and [censored] size :)

Needless to say I will be playing Skyrim 11-11-11 until I feel the urge to stop :)

You should smite them and reign supreme.

Uhlan! Sorry to hear you're having a tough time. No jokes, I mean it. Believe me when I say I count my blessings every day. I DO appreciate what I have and the doom and gloom of my first post was meant 100% as a joke. (Well, OK maybe 98%. Still sad I can't play much that weekend!) Best of luck to you and your family. And now, back to the kidding around, which hopefully we can all enjoy.

Best lol of the thread so far. Very glad my coworkers weren't around as I would have had to try to explain why that was so gut-busting. Cheers to you! :foodndrink:

Hey, they are either over-used or under-used. I personally over-use them at times, because I want something to be read the way I'd say it.

My dad runs his own database creating business. This isn't a bad option.

To answer someone's question this thread should have been locked a few pages ago. It is about someones personal life and has no bearing on the game. If you want to post stuff like this, use the General Discussion forum please.........

Fair question :)

Bored at work, was thinking about internet stuff I hadn't looked at in a while, thought, "Oh! Skyrim forum! ... but there's nothing to say."

"..."

"Wait! I have a story to tell them about how I'm excited for the game but won't be able to play it much right away."

I thought, maybe it's a dumb topic, OK, so no one will respond and it will drop off the front page, no harm done.

Turns out some folks ended up having fun with it, so I feel good ... because, really, there's nothing substantial to talk about for the next month, is there?

lol sounds like my old job which I quit, man I was really mean to my boss come to think of it :P I could get pretty demonic when I'm pissed, luckily my co-worker stopped me before I punched a hole in his face.

my advice.... don't take no for an answer, once you let people get a free ride and they are A--holes they never get off.

we have an old saying (more like scripture XD)

if you are gracious and generous to a decent man you will own him, and if he is a wicked man he will rebel and spit in your face later.... well translation takes away most of it :P

short version:

be weary of the evil of those you honored(or helped, or gave charity to...etc) ..... again some meaning lost in translation

IN SHORT.... get that vacation and tell him to MANAGE without you.

I really hope you know i am kidding.
Maybe one of you can buy me it?
Once again, just kidding
I feel your pain. But, luckily I had $42 worth of trade-ins and a last paycheck to finish it off :)

Glad I can help. :teehee:

Realistically, I would take that extra shift if I were you. Courtesy trumps Skyrim. I know that's blasphemous on gamesas forums but it's the truth. :)
