Werewolf&Vampires suggested Janus Hassildor, the vampire count from Skingrad. Were you suggesting him to be in the mages guild talking to someone in there? Are you going to control his actions and dialogue, W&V?

So Luven Talanian (a made up Imperial male) is in charge of the Mages Guild. Jeanne Frasoric is gone on a mission. And there of course are other mages in the guild doing their usual.

Jeanne Frasoric is dead. Sorry if this spoils the game for you http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Jeanne_Frasoric. And Hircine21 made a post about a Dunmer lady in charge of the Bruma chapter.

Jeanne is quite... non-alive at the moment.
Having that J′Skar guy as the one in charge would be nice, I believe... Still funny and jokish or depressed and gloomy? Or both, changing depending on his mood?

I′d say both... Well, just who I would recommend.

Well, someone throw me a bone here. A Dark Elf lady is in charge of the Bruma Mages Guild? What is her name and rank?

A Dunmer woman looked up from a book she was reading.

"Close that door your letting all the heat out", she screamed.

Nathaniel quickly shut the door behind him and walked over to where she stood.

The woman had an angry look on her face. "What can I help you with, Imperial?"

"Melisi Daren, it's me Nathaniel don't tell me you've forgotten your old friend."
Nathaniel had finally gotten her undivided attention. "Nathaniel. Nathaniel Leinheart is that really you. I heard you'd left for Morrowind some years ago."

"Yeah I'd gotten bored of Cyrodiil and need a change of pace.

"So what brought you back?"

"I'm sure you've heard about all the strife in Morrowind. Not exactly a great place to be right now...no offense."

"None taken but I meant what brought you here to Bruma?"

"I came here trying to learn more about that huge ebony deposit found up in Skyrim. I have to ask, why are you here Melisi?"

Melisi chuckled at Nathaniel's question. "I'm this guild branches chapter head as I recently obtained the rank of wizard." She beamed as she said this.

hircine21's post about it.

I like Haresus' idea of J'skar still being involved somewhere. So I suppose all we know currently is that a Dunmer named Melisi Daren rules the Bruma chapter.
If I were you, Tes96, I'd just make it up. I don't think you'd come up with a bad choice for Arch Mage or anything.

Melisi a Wizard? Vedaa is just two ranks behind her. She's never met Vedaa but apparently she's good friends with Nathaniel.
And undead are nearby? Adventurers disappearing? Nathaniel Leinheart to the rescue? Pace Picante? New York City?! Get a rope. That'll work out because Vedaa doesn't like killing zombies and she can get to know the other role-players in the meantime.

Errr, Tes96, I think you just completely ignored forestgump. I could be wrong but I think his character addressed you in the hallway.

Who were the two people you were talking about, BladeMaster07? You said someone came up and gave something to forrestgump, who was that?

Read forrests last post. I was referring to his guy talking to the barmaid who is friends with the killer he is after I would guess. My character was talking about watching forrest and the girl talk, as well as a third character (I would assume the killer) who slipped out of the main room to escape. Forrest then followed him down the hall, and ran into Tes96 and Werewolf&Vampire characters who were talking and he asked them a question but they ignored him and went down to the bar.

I didn't say anything about anyone giving forrest anything....

Here's the post (note he even told Tes that he was interacting with their character):

Marcus Lowe, Jerall View Inn

The Inn was very nice, as far as Inns go, much higher-class than the Tap and Tack. But none of that really concerned Marcus. What did concern him was the redhead bosmer girl tending the bar; Marcus navigated around several tables, sat down at the bar, and ordered some mead; he used to find it disgusting, but acquired a taste for the drink after spending some Skyrim. Upon bringing the drink, the girl smiled brightly and said, "You from around here? Most travelers don't order mead."

Marcus smiled back. "No, I'm not," he said as he examined the tankard; it was well-polished, and he could see the table behind him reflected in it. "But I drop in from time to time. Anything interesting happening in Bruma lately?"

The girl paused for a bit after hearing the question, but then smiled as she poured a drink for another patron. "No, I'm afraid it's been very quiet lately. Not much going on."

"Really? I've actually hear a few interesting stories. You hear about Caenlin?"

"No," the girl said very quickly; she seemed to have caught herself, though, and continued speaking calmly. "No, I haven't. What happened?"

"Guy went crazy," Marcus said, though she didn't seem to be paying attention; her eyes were focused very intently somewhere behind Marcus. "Killed two people in the chapel the other day. City guard's been looking all over for him. They even hired the fighter's guild to help out." The girl nodded idly, but she was still looking at some spot behind Marcus. He looked at the reflection in his tankard, and sure enough, there was a short, slender figure standing almost directly behind Marcus. The bartender gave a tiny jerk of her head, and the reflection moved off to the left, into some hallway.

"You know," said Marcus calmly. "I heard he hung around here alot. I'd look out if I were you." He took a big gulp of mead. "Your bathroom, it's over there, right?" he turned around and gestured at the hallway to the bedrooms, the same hallway the reflection had gone into. Without waiting for an answer, he said, "Thanks." He got up and walked, much faster than usual, to the hallway.

There was a very short Dark Elf girl sticking out of a door further down, but the figure was nowhere to be seen. "Excuse me," he called politely to the dunmer across the hall. "You haven't seen a Bosmer guy come through here, have you?"

Well, I mean Janus Hassildor did help the Mages Guild before with his information. Although he has no love for them, he still helps them out in exchange for his vampirism. I just admire him. Hehe. But he does not need to be in the story. Just a cameo maybe.

Well a new character for the guild had to be created as J'skar as much as I like him couldn't run the guild as he is only a journeyman and all the other chapter heads are wizard rank. I kinda ran with the necromancer idea Werewolf&Vampire proposed because if anyone were to know about it the mages guild is the most likely. It can be changed and anyone who wishes to come along can.

Well what kind of plot you got in mind hircine? My guy is part of the Mages Guild and so I think I could probably fit in, but what did you have planned? Necromancer hunt? If so, and please don't think I'm hijacking your idea because I'm not, I think the Necromancers should be part of a larger political scheme of things, perhaps trying to gain power in the Empires weakened state? But I'm not trying to take over your idea and if Swift wants to, our duo might end up joining whatever you have cooked up?

This also works well. It's good because your character is in the Mages Guild, as is Vedaa's character. And there is no one better with foiling political machinations such as Raven. The power-struggle between the forces sounds delicious. And Raven is sworn enemy of necromancers. I trust this might be a good plot for all our characters.

Doesn't have to be everyone though. There are a number of characters that aren't magick oriented that may want to do something else?

Perhaps some powerful Necromancers after Manimarco fell are looking to rebuild their cult to the God of Worms, while seeking to empower and perhaps even legitimize themselves throughout Tamriel. Necromancy was legal after all, until Traven took over, so perhaps they are seeking to become legal and a recognized group?

Whether this concerns me, i'm not sure. However I do assume myself to fit under this category.

I'm quite happy, considering Paige's hunt for money and her aspirations to become a healer of some sort could easily get me tied in with some Necromancer plot.
I've been writing very carefully so as to be aware of possible plot-lines, leaving my options open, but the Necromancer suggestion seems like a good one.

I'd like it to be a different sect then Manimarco's group.

Hmmm... I've been reading Call of Cthulu recently, I could base something off that ish. I think a necro cult like that could be interesting. They could be trying to get their hands on ebony.

As for Gold-Heart, he wouldn't mind working with the Mages guild. His adventourus personality and some past history with the guild (Not much though, just odd jobs) would allow him to be willing to accompany the guild on this adventure.

Name wise I was thinking The Putrid Hand from OOO. As for their goal I've kinda thought that with the guild in shambles they might take another run at overtaking White Gold Tower. I could see them converting mages to their side and growing in power.

argh!! Are you certain ForestGump didn't go back and edit his post and put that part in where he talks to Vedaa? Because I could have sworn that part wasn't there before and I made sure to read all the preceding posts before posting.

I already posted and W&V already replied to my post. How to fix this..... how about Vedaa just didn't hear him from all the clammer and noise in the pub? That way, Marcus will be able to try one more time, that is if he wasn't appauled by Vedaa ignoring him. Or maybe he can just go and pour beer on her head for ignoring him and acting like a smug beeee-otch. lol

Again, sorry ForestGump, I honestly did not see that part in your post.

To clarify, Raven, Marcus, Vedaa, Gold-Heart and Octavius are all in The Jerall View. Brandr and Rodrik are outside the front door of The Jerall View. Paige is in the Tap & Tack. That's just from memory. Who else am I missing?
