I've been carrying around the light of dawn for a while now. I noticed that I no longer get the message at the top of the screen saying "## vampires killed" or whatever. Is the message always supposed to be there? I'm a bit worried because after killing about 40 more necromancers, I haven't gotten the messages anymore.

The sword has been a little glitchy for me at times. Sometimes when I equip it, it just equips and unequips repeatedly until I have to change weapons in my inventory to make it stop. Or, I can just drop the sword, but if I pick it back up, then the game crashes.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

OBSE is a requirement if you want the features for LOD.
BTW, the question could be answered in the OOO thread instead of creating this one.

What Shikishima said (except you don't need OBSE for the LoD features - only for the flaming variant). Anyway, which OOO version are you using? OOO 1.34 Beta 5 had some LoD fixes besides replacing the sword with a new version so update if you haven't already. The vamp count has always been reliable so you shouldn't have to worry about that - I'd guess "show OOOVampDeadCount" in the console will do just that if you want to check it.

I thought necromancers were vampires.
