Light Of Dawn Sword From OOO Modification

Post » Wed Sep 28, 2011 4:37 am

I am trying to make things a bit more balanced in my game and Light Of Dawn from OOO is one of the things that bug me. I do not mind it being a quest item but the fact that I cant be disarmed with it really unbalances the game for me. The other issue is that it has no weight. So I am looking for two fixes:

How to make it not a quest item so I can be disarmed in battle if I am wielding it.

And

How do I add weight to it.

I can use Tes4edit but the CS is a no go for me, do not want to know how to use it, because it could become an obsession for me to fix everything else and I prefer playing :)

I looked at the sword in OOO.esm and there are multiple entries for it, all with weight (weight that seems reasonable). But in the game it has no weight, so I was perplexed on how to modify it. Any help would be appreciated.

You wont say that when you get disarmed and it rolls into the long grass - disappearing for ever. :toughninja:

I know that you don't want to experiment with the CS, but in this case it's the simplest option. All that's required is to untick it as a quest item (for all stages of it's development) and your done. Weight should be adjusted automatically.

Damn! OK, this is going to be painful. As for the grass, yeah, had that happen. Thank goodnes for console tg and autosaves :)

Now, should I modify ooo.esm or should I copy some records to blank esp? If this requires a big lesson I might as well skip it and put up with it. :(
