Light foot + pressure plate quests = fail

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 3:47 pm

Trying to finish a quest where I have to place an object on a pressure plate to open a door, but I it doesn't work. Surely there is a fix for this, yes? If not, then in a future patch?

Do you have to trigger it with an item or just trigger it in general? Because if the item doesn't work (I've had no problems using items), you could try to get a companion to activate it for you.

My conjured companions are always eager to activate pressure plates and traps whether I want them to or not.

Guide just says drop an item on the pressure plate to open the gate. I guess I will try hiring someone for button pushing, but I worry there might not be the option to push, ya know?

Also, I'm stingy with my coin.

Have you tried dropping the item on the floor and then picking it up by holding down "A" button for a few seconds while looking at it. You can then pick it up and move it on screen although it is very touchy and clumsy. You may be able to do that and very crefully drop it onto the button.

I've tried ingots and 2lbs lanterns and greater soul gem. A book, a scroll, and an ingot all at the same time as well.

Light foot would not effect it, it's either a bug or you missed something else that's a requirement, perhaps stone puzzles or something.

Light foot only works while sneaking.

I have the game guide, (I was talked into buying it when I preordered), and there is no other puzzle in here, just traps, the pressure plate altar, and a gate I can't get through. :(
