Light/Heavy Level Unlocks

when i saw this i was a bit disgruntled, Heavy unlocks before Light i figured they would both unlock at the same time.
So that the extremes would be available and balance out there unlocking

Awwwww, poop!! >:(

I already know how useless a heavy will be as anything but a soldier, forcing me to pick a heavy for a change of pace is not necessary.

Actually, no I will. I'll give it a try. The proof is forever in the pudding, so I'm gonna have to try every flavor.

I will experiment with the Heavy, but not that early in leveling. Plus I want to try out Light first.

P.S. Thanks for the cookie

Can we still switch body classes after matches or did they change that too?

Hmm. This makes me curious as to how many people will grind to level 7, make the switch to Light, become ecstatic about being a ninja, get mowed down by the first Heavy they come across, and soberly realize "I guess Medium wasn't so bad after all..."

honestly half the people will do that

the other half are skilled players who knew light was more mobility then standing power
and play it accordingly everyone else will get frustrated

Ok well all you have to do is divide Bob Saget by the speed of light carry the two and your estimated answer is a lot.

Although this bit of news kind of frustrates me (like most people, I'm mainly looking forward to using SMART in all its glory as a light at the soonest opportunity), I guess it's actually an excellent idea. This will force players to get acquainted with the game before they start swarming all over the place and making a nuisance of themselves. Once they reach level 7 and (in theory) have a basic grasp of the game, THEN they may choose to be a light.

I think it's SD's way of saying, "Hey, before you play as a Bieber spasming about on the rooftops, at least TRY playing as a heavy.

In any case, I'm sure those 2 levels will fly right by.

This is just plain wrong.

A heavy medic is very useful. A heavy engineer is very useful. Even a heavy operative is useful.

i know in all honesty it wont really matter i just see the trend that will happen...

level 5 70% migrate to heavy and use the new weapons and health to spam everyone
but no one is light to be able to get in and flank to balance them

then level 7 lots of peoplke migrate to light and then everyone is to busy trying to figure out new controls
(learning to manual SMART) then around level 10 it all evens out

it wont be that bad persay but i see a small snag happening to playing for a bit til everyone is comfy with chars
