Lighting Problems?

I've been building a new home for myself and my followers, however, when I try to add lighting into it, so that it looks more like a home, and not an abandoned bunker, the lights never show up. Not only that, but also, the Ctr+Alt+Left-click doesn't work either. I've looked for tutorials, and for other topics about this problem, and didn't have the best of luck. Can anyone help me out with this?

There are two kinds of Lighting, World and or Ambient Lighting (that is there no matter what other light sources you have) and Light Sources. World Lighting is for the entire cell. Light sources are your fill light and can be used to create shadows in certain areas. These Light Sources are not fixtures, those are different. You can have Light Sources and no fixtures at all. Or, you can add the light fixtures you want, then add or change the light sources attached to those fixtures for illumination.

Now, in this game, the lights come with Lighting Templates that you may want to tweak to make them look like you want

Just know that you are going to have a combo of World Lighting and Light Sources.

I finally fixed it... -_- I was trying to create light sources, but every time I put one in, it wouldn't work. I reloaded my GECK 4 times, and finally they showed up. I don't know if my GECK is glitched or not, but yeah. I fixed it finally... Why do I keep fixing my problem right after posting a forum post? Ugh.

That's a fairly common occurrence around here. It probably has something to do with Murphy's Law.
