Lightsaber resource available for public use

Post » Fri Nov 05, 2010 2:14 am

Having received several emails recently regarding the lighsaber mod I produced three years ago I've finally come to the conclusion that releasing them and sharing them publicly is not a big issue.

For those that have the plug-in feel free to share, pass on, upload publicly, whatever but do please let people know that plug-in needs some attention. Consider the plug-in as an open resource as opposed to a finished piece of work, it's more of a test/ demonstration plug-in.

I Just wanted to say that I enjoy this one, and it's a 10/10.

If I was egotistical, I'm sure I'd be 'stoked' and my ego feel 'well stroked', though I may be thinking "why only 10/10 and not 11?"

I'm feeling devilish tonight having perused a few threads on the Oblivion forums. I've seen so many people sell and rate themselves that I'd love to model an ornate pedastal to place their ego's on.

It is nice to know that people like the things you create and for your creations to be 'accepted' but this is not something that should be assumed or expected.

Not that it really matters!

(Just kidding)

We have quite a lot of it here as well. (at least lately) :foodndrink:

Don't worry, unlike some stuff out there, this actually deserves 10/10. :goodjob:

I had been playing with the models, viewing them in sceneimmerse. Sceneimmerse normally asks for a texture directory which I got fed up of typing in so placed the meshes in the texture directory allowed automatic viewing.

I must have rezipped the file and this is the one I uploaded. Simply cut and paste all meshes into the L_SBR mesh directory. I will upload the files again later today for those who can wait.

When I get around to it, I'll upload to planet elderscrolls.

EDIT: have revised this post with the correct place to put the meshes

anyway, nice to see the lightsabres gtting an "offical release" :D - They are a great resource and the models are great! Thanks for bringing them back into the public eye.
