so obviously im new here. i plan on getting the game later today and i wanna become a vampire.

i already know most of what the vampires cons and pros are but my question is concerning day and night and where does it apply.

Like if the suns out does the defect also follow you to caves?

Houses?

anywhere where the sun doesnt shine?

exactly when does night come for vampires?

also weird question is there a sleeping spell in this game?

well that's all -///-

unfortunately i cant get dawngaurd due to my not knowing about the legendary bundle and spending 2 much money lol.

You only get the affects felt when you're outside. You're all good inside houses and caves.

Sun comes out around 5 pm, and starts to set around 6 or 7 pm.

It's actually cheaper to get the Legendary edition. it gives you everything for bout $20 or $30, equal to 1 of the DLC.

Hi!

Welcome to the forums, have a fishy stick http://images.uesp.net/c/c4/Fishystick.jpg(it's a tradition for new posters).

I believe night time is defined as 9pm to 5am - you should review the wiki page (if you're ok with using outside sources): http://uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Vampirism

The affects of the sun do not follow you into caves or other indoor areas. When I played vampire, she would duck inside caves, forts, crypts, houses etc. to escape the sun but this was pretty much for roleplaying. As you know, all that happens to a vampire in the vanilla game is that their regeneration of health, stamina, and magicka grinds to a halt in the sun.

There isn't a sleep spell in the vanilla game.

Without the Dawnguard DLC you won't have the option to become a Vampire Lord which is pretty cool. Also, once you reach stage 4 of the disease (takes four days to get there) NPCs are automatically hostile and will attack on sight. You can feed and revert to stage 1 and avoid the attacks, but then your powers become weaker so you have to figure out the best balance for your play through.

Happy Gaming!

I wouldn't recommend contracting vampirism early on.

Well on a good note the sunlight wont kill you, but it will make you weak and you wont heal from injuries very fast if you dont feed regularly.

Best way to play a vampire is with the Better Vampire mod. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9717/?

I tried them all and this is the best one.
