Likes and dislikes about the Dragonborn DLC.

I found Bethesda's choice with Hermaous Mora interesting and how he had history with the Skaal, and how Mirraak became his Apostle. I found that main story line to be very well done. To me however, the fight between the Last Dragonborn and Miraak being hte First Dragonborn, seemed like Highlander to me. Even every time a dragon is slain....your Dragonborn gets a Quickening because when a dragon dies, you get a all this energy which seemed like one of those upgrade sequels from Highlander. When Miraak dies, guess what.....you get a Quickening. I personally just call them Dragon Quickenings as a personal preference. The whole Dragonborn story came off as Hermaous Morra seems to point out " There Can Be Only One!"

So really, its the fight between you being Connor Macleod and Mirraak being the Kurgan, ends somewhat that way, minus the beheading.

Now, what I wasn't happy about, was there weren't really any factions on the Island. Not like Dawnguard brought to us. It would have been nice to serve some sort of faction on the island, anything and not some Wizard, Neloth, that annoys the community and is seen as a joke. However you spend more time covering up his careless mistakes. I liked him anyway. But it would have been fun if you could have had more Faction choices that would give you radiant quests to do on the Island to get more out of the expansion.

It was fun going to Solsteim because it felt like I was seeing something from Morrowind again. I just wish there'd been a few more things in the DLC for console players.

Mainly what I personally wanted was more faction options to join. That was the only thing it was missing for me. I thought it would have been perfect than had that been added in there. I know some of the other factions have you venture over to the island to do a quest, but it would have been interesting if there had been a few more things in the DLC.

All in all, I did like it. At least we can do in Skyrim what we can't do in Solsteim.
