Limited edition bonus content code no longer valid?

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 12:56 am

Hi, I got this game new today and my code for the bonus content is invalid. I've checked and triple checked it's right but it says "The code you entered may not be correct or is no longer valid. Please check your entries"

Can anybody help me? Thanks in advance.

Normally bonus content expires a year after a game is released, but it hasn't been that long, so it should work. Or else, you can call the retailer where you got the game and ask them for a new code, and tell them this one doesn't work. If you got it from Gamestop, you shouldn't have any problems getting a new code.

Actually it says code expires on 31st december 2021 ;)

It was bought for me as a birthday present from an independant game store in uk. I took it in and explained it to them but they wouldn't refund and didn't have another copy to exchange it. They said to contact EA and ask for a new code, I think I will email EA customer support and ask.

Lol sorry I am used to assuming that everyone lives in America. Contacting EA customer support is a good idea too. By the way, the code expiration is probably 12/31/2012, 2021 just sounds too far away.

The reason could that :

Your PSN ID is on the US PSN store, therefore if your game is bought is Uk your US PSN ID will not recognise it. You need a UK account for your code to work; and to do so, you just need to create an ID on the UK store and it will work.

I'm 99% this is the problem, so another solution is to trade your code for one of your region so that you can use it on your main account, I'm sure you'll find someone, there's a lot of people who bought the game on day 1 and have never used the code.
