Limited Edition = Useless

Post » Wed Dec 10, 2008 11:49 am

So as all of you know, the limited edition doesn't give you anything unique, it just let's you start out with certain things earlier (similar to BC2's VIP editions) The problem with the limited edition is that some of us have to wait 5-10 days before getting the copy, therefore, people who purchase the regular edition will have all these things unlocked by the time us pre-orderes will have our copy, in other words, "killing" the whole point of the Limited Edition. The best solution to this would be to ship the games earlier or else we'd be pre-ordering for nothing. I'd rather buy my copy from a retail, get it Day 1 and spend a couple of hours unlocking the content received in LE than to have to wait a week just to get what others have already passed by. Discuss away :)

It'd be nice if we got a word from a Crytek CM, I'd appreciate it :D

Why do you say 5-10 day wait? There shouldn't be any delay regardless of normal/limited edition/nano edition - but of course, this is retailer dependent.

It does give you an exclusive access to the Platinum Dogtag and the SCAR Digital Camo, AFAIK?

Pre-ordering is often cheaper.. That's kinda the point of pre-ordering.

It's all a matter of the "contact" and what he/she can assure you. (Blame the retailer)

Yeah... but they don't have the LE in stock. I actually prefer ordering from EA but hate the wait

I'm not going to buy NanoEdition.
I wanted, but it would be idiotic choice, why?
Becouse Why do I need a new backpack - Don't?
Case on DVD's is very cool and metalic but its just gadget, which I did not use. Artbook is good idea, but it'll in internet on 100%, well[...]

I'd rather buy a edition with useful things for this price^^

I wasn't really sold by the LE either. Final Fantasy XIV had a cool promotion for their LE in which you received the game 7 days earlier then the standard edition (along with some other in game goodies). This was worth the extra 40 dollars and I got it.

by Pre-Ordering you save $10 and make sure you will receive the game, because it might run out of stock on your local gamestore, Pre-Ordering should also give you access to the Multiplayer Beta thats will come out later this year ???, but anyway, i hope a Steam Pre-order version comes out, i don't mind paying $60, but i would like to get the Pre-Order extras by Steam.
