Limited OMODs, play within hours.

I am going to try this again.

A many moons ago I spent a few weeks looking at mods and learning the utilities, trying to get to where I could start up Oblivion and play. After I picked out many mods and had more or less OMODed them my machine went Pthlut! I now have a better machine, just not the mods.

I am having a hard time narrowing mods down and am finding myself not playing once more, just looking. I don't want to do that again, and I am asking for your suggestions.

I want a game with great weather inside and out, a world not leveled to me, new and beautiful lands to explore, to add at least a couple of long involved quests, waters that aren't empty, new weapons and armor, immersive companions, interesting NPCs and more interesting cities.

I wish to only have 5 - 15 mods total, OMOD formated already for easy install; no mods that require a lengthy study before I can even install them.

Can it be done?

Thank you for any suggestions!

This time around I just want to play.

There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.
To get what you want you really need to put some effort into it. And the nore you want, the more effort you need to put into it.

I recommend you "Weather, all natural + natural enviroments (includes the water thing)

FCOM, or just OOO if you dont want so many new things (this adds all the new armor and enemies you want appart from removing the leveling system)

Cybiades (new land with quests very well done) Gates to Aasgard (well it's not actually beautifull lol scary quest mod) The lost spires, Thievery in the imperial city (it's so well done that you hardly can tell it's a mod)

Then Better Cities mod for the cities.

(Google them) ^^

Petrus,

you missed the point, but thank you for looking at my post.

Saw316,

thank you!

Names are fine, don't really need links unless its a very hard to find mod. I can probably find it by the name so that is good.

Oh, in that case I recommend:
I want a game with great weather inside and out,

All Natural combined with Deathless Aprodite's Storms&Sounds.

a world not leveled to me

OOO

new and beautiful lands to explore, to add at least a couple of long involved quests,

Elseweyr (Beta, but huge and with lots to explore) Bartholm, Cybiades and Windfall

waters that aren't empty

Alive Waters or use the fishy part of OOO

new weapons and armor

Armamentarium

interesting NPCs

Kragenir's Death Quest fleshes out many of the vanilla NPCs and makes them more interesting

and more interesting cities.

Better Cities

Petrus,

thank you!

(Understand about free lunch. Spent many hours on Oblivion previously, finding mods, learning tools, putting mods in OMOD format, then lost all the work. Never really got to the playing it part. Not looking for a free lunch, right now looking for a quick lunch=) (Want to play this, but too much time spent with it and I could be doing homework, working or playing Mount & Blade, Morrowind, DA: O, Star Wars, NWN2, Drakensang, EUIII or others. So I appreciate all the suggestions!)

For immersive companions I was thinking about one of Sulteric Drums' companions?

Thank you!
