Linking Objects together?

is there a way to link a group of objects together? most obvious use I can think of is a Light Mesh (the fixture), the light source, and the effect of the glow coming off of it.

it's not always convenient to have to duplicate a stack of these 3 things, especially if a piece is hard to get at. Anyone know if you can combine multiple objects, especially mixed kinds?

The only thing like this you can do is creating SCOL using Control+G but that is only for like room pieces and such. Things that can help you here. Select and object and press 1 to make it unselectable (so no longer in your way) and partially inivisible. Hit 1 a second time, and it dissapears completly, out of your way, and no longer worried about. To restore any objects that you have hidden in this manner, press F5 and the cell will be 'reloaded' and everything put back to visible. This can be very nice if you have a second floor above a bottom one, and its in the way, select all the pieces, 1 1 and your good. Other than that, just select all three pieces (Light, fixture, and glow effect) by holding Control then clicking on them, then just Ctrl+D and move all three at once, so every occurance of these three things is identical. Using this things put together, it should be very easy to do this.
