Linux Support in Crysis 2?

Post » Mon Jul 06, 2009 3:27 am

I have been running Linux now for a few weeks and have really fallen in love with it. From what I know and have tried Crysis doesn't run well with Linux through WINE. I'm still able to dual boot into my old windows machine, but it's a bit of a hassle. I'd like to see Crytek put more work into making Crysis 2 more compatible with Linux. Does anyone else agree?

No, Linux is not supported by MANY programs and games. Mac has more. I'm a PC for many reasons. I'd recommend you get Windows 7, not only is it a epic OS, it uses the RAM, Video Memory and so on MUCH more than any other system.

I take it you've never heard of cluster computing and webservers. :P

But no, I very much doubt there are plans to support *nix.

They dropped OpenGL support with the development of CryEngine2.

Realmente as softhouse deveriam dar mais créditos ao Linux. Quando usarem mais OpenGL, est?o dando chance a ambos os sistemas Operacionais.
Vamos esperar para ver.

i really wish they would (full time linux user here) but its doutfull... i'll porbably end up installing the win7 trail on a separate partition maybe rearm it a few times... then after that hope and pray its playable through wine...

Lol, Linux uses all 4GB of my RAM too. xD I actually already have another hard drive with Windows that I can dual boot to, but it's just what I deem an unnecessary hassle.

Sim, eu concordo. Is that right? I'm no good with Portuguese.
