[LIST] List of Province Mods

Post » Sat Apr 23, 2011 10:42 pm

Due to the inability to find a pre-existing list, I've decided to make this myself. The following is a listing of all known mods that aim to re-create and add one or more of the provinces of Tamriel or continents of Nirn to Oblivion, in alphabetic order, with links to either the mod's website or download location if available. If I have missed any mods, please let me know, and I will add them as quickly as possible. Also, if I have in any way broken a rule or done something unwise by creating this list, please let me know and I will immediately cease updating and posting this list.

I have not included Morrowind/Vvardenfell due to (from what I have heard) the modding team receiving a cease and desist from Bethesda.

There is phitt's sheogorad,Lady nerevar's hammerfell and silgrad tower have released an alpha elsweyr.

I've added Lady Nerevar's Hammerfell and Silgrad Tower's Elsweyr, but is Sheogorad a lore-friendly province/continent addition? I didn't think it was, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

There's also http://www.gamesas.com/?showtopic=1060544 that shares assets with the listed Sheogorad mod. http://tes4vvardenfellrereated.uuuq.com/index.html that showcases both.

http://oblivion.silgrad.com/ (the western part of mainland Morrowind) itself is not listed. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1099571-tamriel-worldspace-modding-project-thread-3/ probably deserve a mention as well, especially since it looks like several projects will require them. Also, if its not too much to ask, can you please change the name of my mod to just "Hammerfell"? I've got that whole "for TES4" thing on the website for clarity, but its not part of the official name.

The Lands of Solstheim-Vvardenfell-Mournhould has been updated to be listed as [WiR], a Work in Release. This is a hybrid tag for [WiP] mods that have a playable public version available.

The mod's in German. Apparently, it's still in Beta, but according to someone on the comments section, all of the cities are there.

There's also one that adds in http://shadowslady.de.tl/Oblivion.htm home of the sea elves, also in German. It's a work in progress.

You should also add in http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31203 by Auryga.

List Updated for new forum topics and release states. Does anyone know what happened to Broad's Hammerfell? It seemed to be pretty close to a release, then the site went down. If someone knows, please let me know so that I can adjust the listing accordingly.

More accurately, the author flagged it as hidden. He/she has done this a couple times this year unfortunately, not sure why.

Here is the quote from him/her from the last time it was hidden:

The mod isn't deleted, I just hit the "hide" button on tesnexus to remove it from view it for awhile. When it drops off the bottom of the top 25 in a couple of weeks then I'll reactivate it. In the meantime its still available through Megaupload. The link in my thread somewhere.

I've found the megaupload link to the Jan 2010 version: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RNY1LP2Y

Last anyone heard from Broad he was talking about barely having any time to work on the mod. It's looking pretty abandoned to me, especially since the ning sites closed.

Mr. Bibliophile: I have also found the July 2010 Update to Elsweyr. The two links that should be included in the OP should be:

Elsweyr Anequina Mod V2 (from January 2010)

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=RNY1LP2Y

Plus July 2010 Additions

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=E1JPQ32L

However, maybe you might want to try contacting Iliana and see if she minds if it is included here. On September 28th she wrote on the ANQ forum, in further response to her decision to hide it:

No, I never gave a reason. I had hoped people would just respect my decision and leave it at that.

I prefer that the mod remains out of the spotlight for now. If anyone really must have it, then all they need to do is take some initiative and use google search.

I suppose I could ask her if you want. Not sure what to do in this situation.
