List of recommended mods? : Fallout: New Vegas

Is there a recent list of recommended mods? I played FONV a couple years ago and thought I'd play through it again. Googling just gets me really old lists. So if anyone could help me out and suggest where to look for a comprehensive list of suggested mods, it'd be much appreciated.

a good start would actually be hit the nexus and look at the top mods and go from there.

Some folks like a lot, some not so many.

I would recommend :

Courier's stash - Package Selection = lets you select what packs if any at start

DLC WITM = adds some of the DLC items to the wasteland's leveled lists (so you can get the weapons prior to running the dlcs)

Mission Mojave = seems to be the closest to an unofficial patch that I found

Fellout = changes the lighting and atmosphere (personal preferences)

Light step ED-E = gives the flying eye ball the light step perk... so it don't keep triggering mines and stuff

After that it's mostly beauty packs, etc. For me, along with personal tweaks and stuff.

The game does not need any mods. However, there are some that make the game better to play.

1. Underground or Underwater Hideout (get the improved sorters for the UW Home)

2. NMC's Texture Pack (smallest file size)

3. Type 3 or BNB Body/Clothing replacer (former is PG, latter is R rated)

4. Improved Clutter (forget what it is exactly called, but it replaces all the clutter with higher res stuff)

5. WMX

6. Well, that's it really for required mods.

I would avoid Mission Mojave as it's more than a patch, it changes the base game rather than fixing bugs. I have used the YUP, but that has some weirdness too. Quite frankly, I played this game for years without MM or YUP or any other UOP.

1. NVAC. It'll save you from many crashes

2. New Vegas Bounties 1 and 2

3. Project Nevada (adds Sprinting and other useful stuff)
