Little help in modding

Hello anyone :)
It's been a while since my last topic.
I think this question concerns more 3ds Max than the CS, but I hope you'll be able to help me anyway. I don't really know who to ask.
I'm working on a Golden Saint armor (in Vanilla style; for Vanilla bodies). Now I'm trying to make the cuirass, and I'm having some problems.

1: How could I make the cuirass appear on the 'nvde' body mesh?
I know there are some armors like that. I think I should attach the mesh to, for example, the node of the elbow. I don't know how to do this though :\
Also, the cuirass is made of two meshes, and one is attached to no node at all. It doesn't show up -.-
Everytime I try to 'physique' something, the program crashes. Am I doing something wrong?
(A little list of 'What to do' and a link to a tutorial 'How to do' would be awesome).

2. In the Golden Saint armor, the left gauntlet includes a part of chainmail on the upper arm. I wanted to make it appear just like the cuirass piece, yet a problem occours... How can I attach the Upper Arm mesh (the 'nvde body' vanilla mesh) to the skeleton in the exact position it has ingame?
