A little more care with invisible barrier placement please.

Traveling on horse up a clear road I see an "open" gate ahead with the road continuing through the gate, then suddenly the horse stops, took me a moment to spot the message in the top left corner, "You cannot go this way"; so did someone forget to add an "IMPASSIBLE" gate to that exit?, I was escaping after stealing a horse and being chased, it's incredibly annoying when you see what appears to be a clear path only to hit "NOTHING!"

Were you in the far west of the map? I've come across the same gate, if that's so. If you look at your map, you'll find that you're pretty much at the extreme westernmost portion of Skyrim and cannot travel any farther west. I actually thought it was pretty cool. Maybe they'll expand in that direction for a DLC? What province does that road lead to.. hold on, let me look at a map.

*edit* It either leads to Hammerfell (home of the Redguards) or High Rock (home of the Bretons).

I don't have a major problem with invisible barriers, only when they are placed in front of an "open" gate.

To each his own. ;) I actually didn't mind this one, but there's one in the southern central mountain range between Falkreath and Riften that seems gratuitous.

People complaining about invisible walls in Skyrim have clearly never played New Vegas.

I hated that so very much. Used to scaling mountains in TES and FO3, and 90% of the time you try to do it - *wham*
