a little more sixual topics/jokes?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 9:16 pm

Umm what? All their in game books are great. Their dialogue most of the time is great as well.

As for sixual content, we have the Lusty Argonian maid and The Real Barenziah from Daggerfall (go look it up, good read, especially the passage that got censored in Morrowind and Oblivion. hardcoe pron in that passage yo.)

Just read the Daggerfall version (well part of it) and holy crap that was pretty. . . hardcoe

this is a manly land! i expect manly jokes about things that men joke about! i expect men to occasionaly oggle at girls that walk by and possibly comment about it and so on. the same goes for females. i want to walk around a town, hear something funny and laugh my ass off. we cant have a super serious game can we? perhaps we could even hear some sixual jokes that are race specific?

One of the last things I'd want is a bunch of drunken Nords ogling me as I walked past.

Bethesda is not renown for their writing talent.

That said, it might be funny to see some guy checking out the bar maid, or farmers daughter, or whatever.

I think they know, and that they are working on it.

Fallout 3 was way better written than Oblivion, and way better voice acted as well, IMO. Furthermore, Todd Howard stated they have hired several new staff-members to develop and improve interaction with NPCs. I assume that include their dialogues.

But what about if it was designed so that you could knock them out without having to beat them to death, and shut up their stupid sixist jokes once and for all? I'd love to do that, and watch other NPCs do the same.

[Edit] Or even engage in a convo with them, address their jokes/comments with a variety of options (maybe through certain speech checks?). And then maybe still beat them. :P

well i dont know about you guys but whenever i played oblivion i would ocasionally find npc's that were moderatly attarctive, so i would like some opptions, or some depth, i mean lets stop kidding ourselfs, we all know that the human race is so sucesful because we cant spend more than 2 hours without thinking about something that has to do with six, so lets face it, it would be enjoyable to have an opption to at least make them notice you.

Only if their ogling and sixist comments constituted a hostile action, so I could smack them upside the head with a fireball without worrying about getting arrested.

I don't know about fire - but a swift meaty punch in the face should be ok :P This is Skyrim, after all. I definitely think there should be an option for non lethal fights, where you just KO the opponent without getting arrested.

Oh, right, they're Nords. They'd probably think I was flirting with them.

They value female warriors just as highly as male ones don't they? KOing a man for being disrespectful would probably make you a "real woman" in their eyes. Maybe it should mean you gain respect or favour among the people watching (and obviously the one KO'd wouldn't bother you again lol).

Am pretty sure there will be plenty of humour of a sixual nature considering past Elder Scrolls rpgs such as in MORROWIND with a particular character who likes you so much he wants you to strip in front of em. Then theres the Nord who got stripped by a witch and put under a paralyzing spell in the middle of the crossroads also in MORROWIND. Plenty of other decadent jolly moments are to be had in OBLIVION aswell especially with the SHIVERING ISLES expansion.

Y'know I was so surprised when I was playing Oblivion the other day (mind you I've played hundreds of hours before this) to see an inn owner in Skingrad asked me about the fine for Necrophilia in Cyrodiil.

That game was much more mature than I realized. I don't think we'll have to worry about the lack of mature jokes in this one.

One of the things I like about Beth though is that their stuff is always quality. So even when there is mature jokes, they're never "immature" (childish) and they're usually funny, and not too cheesy.

"OHH! I saw that! He's SUCH a devil! THOSE ABS!"

"Hehe I KNOW RIGHT!?! Mortal or not, I'D DO THAT!"

Oblivion has people that like it when you threaten them so they could pull off a few sixual things here and there. Seriously, these people smile and say, "please don't!"

what- you dont want ANYTHING to be funny? where is your sense of humour dear child?

He's assuming that your poll is a little bias. It kinda is.

As for humor, I think it's fine the way it is in Oblivion.

The Elder Scrolls games have always had a mature tone to them. I remember my shock the first time I taunted the Dremora at the shrine in Morrowind to have him reply...an I quote: "after I kill you I'm going to r@pe your corpse, don't worry I'll be gentle."...I about fell out of my chair! Battlespire had some sixuality and nudity to it, nvde female npcs and if you removed all your armor from your female avatar you would be topless!

With that said I think the game has became a bit too mainstream to pull that off, we would have to worry about the game getting an AO (advlts only) rating here in the US which effectively means it's banned in many area. I do expect some level of mature speak and sixual innuendo though, I am sure they will use the Mature rating while still avoiding becoming too cheesy about it.

Personally i would like to have much more sixual stuff in it , look at dragon age and so on you can do soo much more for a lesser RPG game it svcks that they draw the line at it.. just like morrowind with the strip club or fallout with the woman in megatown they talk the talk but nothing happens.

Well shivering Isles had the woman in the book shop in Mania have of the city she flirted flatout and her interactions with other characters also implied that she was well a talented lady.
