Little Ones in Skyrim?

It was a masterpiece mod made by Emma. It added children to Morrowind with cute animations and silly little options to give them candy and bears and stuff.

I wish there wasn't but there is, and I'm assuming even after in game years (Well in game real life years, 365 days not sure if that's the case in TES) that they won't grow older, so they'll be children forever.

@OP and @Summer, sorry I made a post that had to be deleted, should not have retaliated. Apologies. Anyway, on topic :

I love kids in games, doing the sock puppet in Fable 2, rescuing them from the slavers in Fallout 3, but I hope they are more like FO3 than FO:NV. In NV they didn't do anything, except chase rats, whereas in FO3 they were a fully realised part of the world, with quests and conversations, npcs you could interact with.
Looks unlikely though, we may be moving away from MW and OB's 'every npc in town has a name', to Fallout's 'Megaton settler'. This, imo, is a great shame, but even if they are just there to fill the towns with life and noise, and nothing else, I still think this is a welcome addition to TES.

Nobody else gets older either, so it's balanced out...

Still better than Fable where only you get older...

Yes I know, but with children, not getting older is much more noticeable since they grow the most over the same amount of time, and I'm sure I'll be noticing it.

Unless you're planning to play for multiple ingame years, not really.

Good luck with that if you do...

I do a lot of waiting to regenerate my health while playing, a character I made just a month ago is at 280 some days already, and hasn't even beaten most of the game.

I want to be able to throw a ball of wool at a Khajit kid.

I hope they would place candy like in the town stores, houses and hotels that you could buy or steal so you can give them out to the children. I think they would be happy

I really don't mind children not aging - but I do hope they add children of multiple ages. I've always hated the games that have only small children and advlts.. Adolescence where have you gone? - Mostly I want to see the teenagers training to become soldiers and fighters of all kinds - This would indeed be neato. You have to wonder where those burly Nords learn to fight like that, right?

What does a child argonian sound like? I mean, it would be higher pitch...yet it would have to have that low snake-like sssss sound. And if they bring the old Dunmer voice back...what would one of those guys sound like before puberty?

Children are prob gonna be like shorter cuter beggars that can hand out useful info for gold or candy. I think it would be nice to walk about maybe if your rep is bad they might run in fear of you or call you bad names, while if your good they might skip and follow you and maybe make you presents. Now that would hook me (considering I've only played tes being a respected hero [no stealing] )

I'd like to have a quest where a kid is picked up and flown away by a dragon and you can be the hero!

I think a great story line for a kid would be ,... you become popular with the skyrim world, kids start following you around town, you either drop junk and one collects it, like a too big armor set, and too big weapons, but they try to wear it and follow you, but you have to send the whipper snapper back home to keep them safe, then later you find out they tried to fight a dragon or something, and you have to go rescue them, that would be a cool fun quest, I think anyway :)

I don't know, I kind of expect everyone to die in those circumstances.

Do we know what age range they're going to be? Obnoxious whiny 7-10 year old children? Cute (though stereotypical) medieval preadolescents with exaggerated British accents? Annoying cliché'd unlikely-fantasy-hero teenagers? :stare:

In all seriousness, I'm hoping that children will be portrayed with a seedier underside. Wouldn't it be great to encounter a group of street urchins, who have their own agenda and know secrets about sneaking around the town undetected? Or perhaps a child who serves as a messenger for the Thieves' Guild. It'd be nice if most (if not all) children served some purpose in Skyrim, with as few randomly-generated ones thrown in as possible. Oh, or how about a young girl who is actually a witch, shapeshifting between different states of age like those in Daggerfall?

I just hope that if they do add teenagers, that they don't do it Fallout style. Kids in Skyrim should know their place and not act all rebellious and such, that's annoying and not the way of TES. Fallout it was fine... everybody was in a permanent bad mood or insane anyways.

What's cliché about that? Everyone knows that if the world is in danger, only children to young teens have the ability to save it completely. :P advlts just stand there and/or mess things up. That's why every TES hero has saved the world only to leave a bigger mess behind. The Nerevarine distroyed the heart, weakening the barier that seporate Oblivion from us. The Champ of Cyrodiil ended up helping Martin break the covanant with Akatosh, and how the dragon's gonna come eat us...

Only a teenage dragonborn can truely save us all!
