my little ponies

I tried to get my brother to watch it but he said it was stupid and told me to get a life. :(

Tell him "Silly boy, stupid isn't how you pronounce awesome"

It was hard to do that with him punching me and calling me gay.

I absent-mindedly once started to during a free period at school. It was embarrassing. :(

I've caught myself humming it.

We could do it, but someone will prolly shut us down anyways.

The fansite has an MLP: Magic is Friendship thread. We're open to all bronies.

With that out of the way, I might as well confess the MLP craze originated in the fansite anyway. I mentioned I like the show, and then some other posters said so. And then jkofan made the first thread and a legend was born. Some of the bronies even became permanent fixtures.

Is the positive "critical reception" the reason you guys are watching this. I mean, the reason whoever started the idea of it did it?

Edit: I removed the link because some bad apples made comments that would break the rules and it would have had to be removed anyway, so yeah. It was the AV Club review, if you want to know what I'm talking about.

Oh hey, another one of these threads. Neat. Still kinda annoyed having to wait till December for new episodes. I guess I can still watch the 2 or 3 I skipped due to CMC though.

You do realize that posting spam or off-topic stuff is more likely to get the thread locked, right?

As long as the discussion stays on topic and within the forum rules, it will stay open. Posting the "inb4tehlock" spam will earn warnings for spamming, and get the thread locked.

Why don't people like the CMC... They freaking rock. I will now sing the theme song in their honor.

Look, here are three little ponies
Ready to sing for this crowd
Listen up, 'cause here's our story
I'm gonna sing it very loud!

When you're a younger pony
And your flank is very bare
Feels like the sun will never come
When your cutie mark's not there

So the three of us fight the fight
There is nothing that we fear
We'll have to figure out what we'll do next
Till our cutie marks are here

We are the Cutie Mark Crusaders
On a quest to find out who we are
And we will never stop the journey
Not until we have our cutie marks

They all say that you'll get your mark
When the time is really right
And you know just what you're supposed to do
And your talent comes to light

But it's not as easy as it sounds
And that waiting's hard to do
So we test our talents everywhere
Until our face is blue

We are the Cutie Mark Crusaders
On a quest to find out who we are
And we will never stop the journey
Not until we have our cutie marks

We are the Cutie Mark Crusaders
On a quest to find out who we are
And we will never stop the journey
Not until we have our cutie marks!

I just might give this a try out of curiosity. What exactly is it? A cartoon on TV?

I was really hoping that was actually someone from the forum. Glad to see the ponies are can still be spoken of in common company.

Yes, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Created by one Lauren Faust, animator on Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and wife to the creator of those series', currently working on a combination of both their genes.
Uh, anyway: You can watch the episodes on Youtube, Hasbro isn't really keen on putting the lid on those uploaded since it's mostly, for them, a way to sell their pony dolls. And hey, that only means they'll not hammer those down who really just want others to enjoy what is a beautiful show, which is how it should be.

t'was hoping the mod squad would catch my sarcasm, alas I still haven't mastered text based sarcasm. (Was mostly poking fun at Rogugh [don't kill me bro] from his locking of the last pony thread cause it got spammy)

On topic stuff:

Watch eeet. I would've died if the "Gala" song was a remix of this. It should've been. Episode shoulda been named "Night at the Gala" Woulda been an amazing way to end the season. You can't argue with this. You know deep down in your heart it would've been epic.

Really??

No, surely you jest, even if your name isn't Shirley.

And you joined -what? 10 minutes after I did?!? -okay, so it was four months, cry me a river..

Honestly dude, you have roughly thirty seven seconds to figure it out, or I'm letting loose... [tum-tum-tum]

The only good thing the CMC gave us was the stories of how our favorite ponies got their cutie marks, and their previously-unknown connection to each other.

Actually, on an individual basis I like the members of the CMC, but when they get together their annoying level increases by a factor of 10000

I probably jinxed it. Maybe if it stays on topic it'll stay open? Is it possible to explain MLP in 200 posts in a different way each time without being spammy? O.o

The outlook for this thread is grim indeed.

You did, I'm expecting Talarn, or the Spotted owl to come along any minute now. We might even catch a Bear in a tophat and cane to come take a visit.

The shows decent enough, I was like everyone else when I first saw it.
O.o WTF? Then I saw the show and its actually got some decent humor in places. Also their so adorable.

A little of both. To sum it up very briefly, a new MLP cartoon series was recently made, by someone who wanted to buck some old stereotypes and also make it something parents could enjoy watching with kids. Many consider it to be a well-made and enjoyable show, but it was still rather obscure, and got some cult-following status. Other people felt it necessary to harass them for watching it, and the fans found it entertaining to tease those people right back by ponying everything, everywhere. So people genuinely like it, AND there are gags going on.

There's no better publicity than haters.

Genuine fans might occasionally mention your stuff to their friends, haters will shout about how much you svck and how everyone needs to see how much you svck all day long. :)

EDIT: And with the inclusion of the new Rainbow flight power the ponies just entered Champions Online. I've seen some human/pony hybrids already that quite frankly frighten me.

Yup, look at Justin Beiber.

Never heard of the guy or cared until everyone started pelting rocks at him. (Figuratively speaking of course.)

Then again he might have actually been pelted with rocks.
