A little thing

Hello, guys, had a little problem I'd like to know how to solve!

I've been playing Morrowind with few mods, and one thing that I find as being an anoyance is that apparently I can't manage to make it fill the whole screen... it just looks like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhHVnFHteUg&feature=related (but vanilla feeling, this video is just for showcasing the issue): I've got those black columns in each side of the screen, and even if I use MGE to change my resolution I can't make it fill the entire screen. Do you know if this is fixable?

On another note, I tried messing with MGE XE (following Knots' Guide), but I found my computer lags a bit with distant land. So, I was wondering if I could use MGE just for the resolution and light effects and perhaps some shaders, without having to enable distant land? I tried once and it didn't go well :|

Thanks,
Daedren

Set your distant land draw distance to something really small. Had to use MGE (not XE), on a mates old PC, and we eventually had to use a setting of 3 for draw distance, and no grass. Worked a treat, and still a much better view distance.

Ok, thank you, I'm gonna try that!

As for the other problem I mentioned, any suggestion?

I've got those black columns in each side of the screen...
This usually happens when you're launching Morrowind in a resolution lower than the monitor's default (e.g. setting 1280x720 whilst screeen native is 1920x1080). Thus you need to force the screen fill up in your video card driver settings. In Catalyst Control Center it can be found in My Digital Flat Panels -> Properties -> Enable GPU Scaling. If you are an NVidia card user just look for the similar option in your driver settings.

Something so simple, and yet so important...

Thank you very much, Nobby Nobbs, it worked!
