Little things that annoy you

-The fact that there is an Indian in USA post great war... I'm all for ethnic variety in video games... when they make sense!

-Dogmeat and companions run away from you when you try to trade with them. I think they know I'm just trying to use em as mules...

-0 health Power Armour weighs nothing... 1 health PA weighs the full amount... WTF?

-Cait telling me to share all ammo, and then trying to hide the fact that she plans to steal from me! This I can forgive.... Cait's real purrty...

-Mama Murphy sits around and does crap all day but blowtorch the same flipping spot!

-The Juns sulking all the flipping time.

-Sturges telling me how duct tape can blah blah blah... Kinda wish the quincy massacre went according to plan...

1. Constantly reloading a save to pass a speech check, finally get it, only for that speech check to tell me very little or absolutely the same exact thing another dialogue option does. I know you have to shoe horn these crappy checks in because of how much you butchered the dialogue system but seriously...why?

2. Trying to get anything right in the settlement builder. So many times do objects turn red when it looks like it can be placed perfectly fine, only for it to turn green at some awkward position. Why aren't we just given the option to just let objects clip into each other?

3. The decision to shove keys together with the likes of holotapes and letters. This was all entirely separate in Fallout 3 so whose bright idea was this in Fallout 4?

4. Making the mistake of reloading a save next to a dead Mr. Handy/Gutsy which shoves half their body into the floor and causes the loudest, most annoying sounds.

The whole outfit looks bad.

Speaking of outfits:

The only outfit with gloves that can also wear armor being the BoS uniform. The opening cinematic features military uniforms with gloves. Why does no such uniform exist in game?

The freakin' Pip-boy is, once again, on my LEFT arm, meaning unless what I wear has gloves, not much visually changes from the first-person perspective, just a few glimpses of the right arm at points. Can't wait for mods to remove the Pip-boy.

The only armor in game to visually upgrade beyond mere color changes is raider armor. It is also by far the worst and the heaviest, making it always moot. Tier 1 combat armor will always be better if not on par than the next tier of raider armor.

Settlement building, especially snapping pieces together, is finicky as hell, often requiring strange angles to get things to snap into place. Bethesda should understand there's an intuitive way of doing things, and then the wrong way. The wrong way is having things snap to distance objects, or at odd angles. The intuitive way is for things to only snap to whatever I place my cursor over, and towards the edge the cursor is closest. Also, removing clipping as a block for snapping pieces into place would be a huge improvement - I can fix such errors myself, I don't need the game telling me this piece won't fit here because a few vertices pass through another object.

Misc inventory in the Pip-boy. It is a mess without a keyring.

The bug where I aim my weapon and literally teleport across the wasteland. It was funny at first but it's not now.

-The left bolt handle on the hunting rifle, I refuse to use it because of that piss-poor animation of handling the weapon makes me want to slap the rifle out of the SS' hands and tell him/her that they're an idiot.

-Reloading the revolver while it's pointing upwards and whipping the cylinder into place. Eeesh, and people told me I'm destructive with my stuff.

-no dual wielding Unarmed weapons.

-alt key being a MULTIFUNCTIONAL KEY THAT I CANNOT CHANGE.

-SAID ALT KEY DOESN'T WANT TO WORK IN SOME COMBAT SCENARIOS FOR NO [censored] REASON, it's as if the thing was literally expecting me to chuck out grenades while I'm up in front of super mutants giving them a face lift with my DEATHCLAW GAUNTLET. YES, GAME, I'M NOT AN IDIOT, YOU ACTUALLY THOUGHT I'D KEEP THE GRENADES IN MY INVENTORY WHILE PLAYING AN UNARMED CHARACTER? PFFT.

-meat. No, seriously, I'm like swimming in animal meat and I'm trying to crank out the dishes, but they just keep coming to the point it's a no brainer on why I have over 140 stimpaks.

-no keyring, because I totally want to inspect every, useless piece of misc. crap I find.

-Holotapes, Bobbleheads, Magazines all in one misc. potluck. No Bethesda, I totally LOVE scrolling my mousewheel 10 times just to find the specific item I need to proceed through a quest!

-Dogmeat running off when I say "YO" to him. Guess he finds that whole "YO DAWG" to be offensive.

And what was wrong with the notes section?

This UI must be intentionally bad. "They thought Skyrim had a bad UI? Well let's see what they think of THIS! "
:lmao:

That happened to me once. How the hell is a bug like that even possible?

I seriously feel like that's what happened, like some intern or designer for the UI of Skyrim got all butthurt from people criticizing his/her shoddy work and then was given a chance to do some work on Fallout 4, that sweet sweet revenge.

- Ballistic weave only being available on items I wouldn't normally wear.

- Settlement bugs (too many to list individually but the one associated with attacks is main cause of the fury)

- Settlement building (the snapping and clipping in particular)

- Idle Settlers

- Not being able to scrap junk via the workshop

- Getting stuck after jumping somewhere too tight to get out of.

- Companion AI at times

- Bugged perks

- Bugged quests

Some of these are not that little tbh as they have the potential to be huge things that infuriate me.

As well as all the holotapes etc. being in the Misc section rather than their own section, I hate that I can't tell if I've listened to them or not. I liked in New Vegas that they became greyed-out once you'd played the recordings. I'm always grabbing stuff off of bodies and often I see I've grabbed a holotape, but it was so quick I don't know what the tape was called, so I have to go hunting in the huge Misc list which doesn't even have all the holotape recordings bunched together.

Oh, another irritation is that I can't complete the Old Guns quest. Actually it wouldn't be half as bad if it wasn't for the fact that every time I go to The Castle the radio guy tells me he needs power for the radio to work. No [censored], Sherlock.

The same could be said of Cait or the Russian bros. I just chalk it up to their ancestors having come to the USA pre-Great War and the accent stuck down the family tree.

- There's not a while lot of music variety in the game. The first few times were great, but now I just turn off radios when I get the chance. How does no one go crazy from listening to the same few songs over and over again?!

- Travis. Look, I like nerdy, socially-inept guys. I'm kind of like that as well but...don't you'd think he'd quit and go do something else if the job was too stressful?

- Companions having the strangest likes or dislikes. Why is it that Cait likes it when I'm nice to her, but hates it when I'm nice to other NPCs? Also, what's with her liking whenever my character strips?

- Strong repeatedly going on and on about how Super Mutants will kill everything, how he wants to do more fighting, how walking and talking is boring. I exiled him to a settlement I rarely go to. Preston is now exiled to the Castle after giving me yet another Minutemen mission when I was minding my own business.

- The Railroad. Got tired of their stupid beliefs that toasters should be freed so I...railroaded their souls into OBLIVION! >:D

- A dirty great bush sticking through the flooring of my Hovel and bending in the wind....inside!

- Dead bodies that keep re-spawning in the same old position no matter how many times I move them.

- I can scrap leg bones, foot bones and such but not whole skeletons.

- Snapping and clipping, just gah!

- No keyring where I can keep multiples of the same key. Why oh why does the game still keep giving me a key I already have?

- When you pick up a book you get 1 chance to read what bonus that book gives you. Any subsequent reading just shows you the cover and no mention of the bonus, whats the point? If I read something I don't just stare at the cover...

- My ALT key is worn out.

-Companions not being there when you actually start the firefight after sneaking around. That's why it's Lone Wanderer for the win on my second play through.

-No "scrap all" option for the workshop

-Preston Garvey. Because of him, I murder all Minutemen patrols I find in the wasteland. There's no penalty for doing so, and it makes me feel better when I talk to Preston. He can telepathically know that a settlement needs help, but he's blind to the fact that I've got an active pogrom going against his buddies.

Trying to pick something up out of the water and it quickly switches to Drink, rather than Take. Annoying in combat as the animation takes so long.

In FO3 my character accidentally drank from a toilet due to that, lol. Ew.

The dog. I like to run everywhere and the damn dog zig zags in front of me and I'm forever smacking into it.

I used to like him but now, as soon as I meet him I banish him to the nearest settlement.

Personal space. Piper knows what that means. Unfortunately Danse doesn't. Every time I stop I have to take 2 steps sideways. and don't get me started on elevators. You've got 5 seconds to get in or you're taking the stairs :P

The most annoying of them all, though, NPC greetings and, "If you keep collecting that junk you're only going to slow us down."

The junk collecting comments are the worst for me.
